  37. WELCOME  to  another  one  in  the  series  of AM/FM (Amiga Musicians Freeware
  38. Magazine)  Sample  Disks!   An AM/FM Sample Disk is released for each issue of
  39. the  AM/FM  magazine  - the AM/FM Sample Disks are all filled with first class
  40. sampled  sounds  for  the Amiga, for use in any music editor, like ProTracker,
  41. NoiseTracker,  MED,  OctaMED,  Oktalyzer,  even  Sonix, Music-X, and many many
  42. other music programs.

  44. Each  of  the  sample  disks  is  specialized - one specific synthesizer, drum
  45. computer,  sound  card etc.  is sampled for each of the AM/FM sample disks, or
  46. one  specific  category  of  instrument/sounds will be presented on each disk.
  47. The  AM/FM  Sample  Disks are available from the same places you get the AM/FM
  48. magazine, i.e.  directly from the AM/FM staff or any company selling the AM/FM
  49. magazine and sample disks with original AM/FM disk labels.

  51. To  ensure  easy  compatibility with the most popular music editors, the disks
  52. are  named  ST-xx where xx is a 2-digit number starting from 50 and increasing
  53. by one for each AM/FM Sample Disk. This disk is labeled ST-62.

  61. This  disk  is  the first in a series of disks which will contain samples from
  62. the  superb  Ensoniq SQ-R synthesizer.  This incredible synthesizer is capable
  63. of  producing  some  astonishing  sounds,  especially  atmospheric stuff.  The
  64. sounds  that  have  been sampled, are NOT the original Ensoniq factory sounds,
  65. but NEW and UNIQUE sounds programmed by the AM/FM staff.
  66.  
  67. We  have  spent  a long time and a lot of effort creating these sounds, and we
  68. have  also  spent a long time and a lot of effort sampling them onto the Amiga
  69. with  the  best  possible result; so we like to think that the result is first
  70. class  Amiga samples which are truly unique and will give your Amiga music new
  71. depth and atmosphere.

  73. Some  of  the  sounds are also supplied with chords, for saving tracks in your
  74. music editor.  By using these samples, you can play a whole chord within _one_
  75. sound  channel.   The  most "common" chords are included:  Major, Minor, Sus2,
  76. Sus4, Maj7 and Min7.

  149. The prices in this catalogue are stated in GBP (British pounds).  However, you
  150. can  pay in whatever currency you wish, just calculate the amount from GBP and

  200. Amiga  Musicians  Freeware  Magazine (AM/FM) is a disk based magazine which is
  201. made  for  everyone  who owns an Amiga is interested in music.  Whether you're
  202. into  composing,  collecting,  studying,  or simply enjoying music, then AM/FM
  203. will have lots to offer.  If you want to learn more about using the Amiga as a
  204. music  computer, you simply cannot miss out on AM/FM.  A new issue of AM/FM is
  205. released  approximately  every  second  month,  and each issue consists of two
  206. disks  -  the  AM/FM  Magazine Disk itself, and an AM/FM Sample Disk.  Each of
  207. these two disks can be bought separately or together - that's up to you.

  209. Each  AM/FM  Magazine  Disk  contains  news,  reviews, previews, hints & tips,
  210. tutorials,  new  sounds  for  popular  synthesizers,  lots of great Amiga-only
  211. music, lots of great MIDI music, and last but not least - the latest in sound-
  212. and  music utilities!  Each issue contains 2-5 Amiga songs, 2-5 MIDI songs and
  213. 3-7 Sound/Music Utility programs!

  218. The AM/FM Sample Disks are all stuffed full of superb quality samples (We know
  219. because   we  sample  everything  ourselves)  from  the  latest  and  best  in
  220. synthesizers, drum machines etc.

  222. All  AM/FM  Magazine  Disks  and  Sample  Disks  are  system-friendly, and use
  223. flexible  and  system-friendly  routines and standard Amigados file system, so
  224. all  files on the disk can easily be taken out and copied anywhere.  Also, the
  225. magazine  works on all Amigas (as far as we know anyway), works fine on PAL or
  226. NTSC, and can also be run from a harddisk environment.

  228. The  music,  text,  utilities,  sound  files  etc.   on AM/FM are not coded or
  229. protected  in  any  way.  Everything is stored in standard AmigaDos files with
  230. proper  filenames, which makes it easy to study the music closer by loading it
  231. into  the correct music editor - or to copy the utilities to your own disks or
  232. harddisk.

  234. AM/FM  can  be  started  from  your  own  workbench environment.  Unlike other
  235. magazines  -  you  do  not have to reset your Amiga and boot with the magazine
  236. disk.   Of  course,  you  can reset and boot if you prefer to.  Both will work

  271. PD  disks.   If  you  buy  more than 15 disks, the price is only 1 GBP per
  272. extra  disk  -  which  is  in  fact  cheaper  than  PD  disks from most PD
  273. companies!!

  293. You  can  also  subscribe  to future issues of AM/FM, to make sure you get
  294. them  the moment they are released.  Simply write on your order or in your
  295. letter  which  disks you want.  If some of them haven't been released yet,
  296. they  will  be sent to you as soon as they are finished.  For example, you
  297. can  order  all  AM/FM  Magazine Disks number 1 thru 16.  Number 1-10 will
  298. then  be  sent  to you immediately, whilst the remaining 6 will be sent to
  299. you when they are released.  It's as simple as that!

  310. 3) PRODUCT: SPACE WARS - The Movie
  312. "Space Wars" is a movie created with the exclusive use of Amiga computers.
  313. We  believe it is the biggest and most ambitious product ever created with
  314. the Amiga.  (Probably with any home computer.)
  315.  
  316. Tobias  Richter  has  for long been well known for his excellent animation
  317. work  on the Amiga; now he's pushed himself, his hardware and his software
  318. to  the limits and come up with an 8-minute movie which is unlike anything
  319. the  home computer market has ever seen before.  The movie is created with
  320. HAM-animations  using special 24-bit graphics cards, running 50 frames/sec
  321. for  approx.  8 minutes total.  The animations have been cut and edited in
  322. a video workshop.
  324. FIVE A3000'S WERE RENDERING ANIMATION FRAMES AROUND THE CLOCK FOR 6 WEEKS.
  326. The  original  soundtrack  on the movie was composed by Bjørn "Dr.Awesome"
  327. Lynne,  and  recorded  from  digital  media  onto  the video in HIFI dolby
  328. stereo.  Various sound effects also add atmosphere to the movie.

  330. If  you  want  to put an end to big-mouthed PC- or Atari-owners, show them
  331. "Space Wars" played on a HIFI stereo video and displayed on a large colour
  332. screen.   That  should  shut  them  up for a while!  ANY computer fan will
  333. freak out when he sees "Space Wars"!

  357. released on Compact Disc!

  359. The  DDD  recorded  CD contains more than 72 minutes of music from the two
  360. former  Crusaders  musicians  Dr.Awesome  and  Fleshbrain.   The music was
  361. composed  and  produced  on  the  latest  state-of-the-art synth equipment
