  38. WELCOME  to  another  one  in  the  series  of AM/FM (Amiga Musicians Freeware
  39. Magazine)  Sample  Disks!   An AM/FM Sample Disk is released for each issue of
  40. the  AM/FM  magazine  - the AM/FM Sample Disks are all filled with first class
  41. sampled  sounds  for  the Amiga, for use in any music editor, like ProTracker,
  42. NoiseTracker,  MED,  OctaMED,  Oktalyzer,  even  Sonix, Music-X, and many many
  43. other music programs.

  45. Each  of  the  sample  disks  is  specialized - one specific synthesizer, drum
  46. computer,  sound  card etc.  is sampled for each of the AM/FM sample disks, or
  47. one  specific  category  of  instrument/sounds will be presented on each disk.
  48. The  AM/FM  Sample  Disks are available from the same places you get the AM/FM
  49. magazine, i.e.  directly from the AM/FM staff or any company selling the AM/FM
  50. magazine and sample disks with original AM/FM disk labels.

  52. To  ensure  easy  compatibility with the most popular music editors, the disks
  53. are  named  ST-xx where xx is a 2-digit number starting from 50 and increasing
  54. by one for each AM/FM Sample Disk. This disk is labeled ST-57.

  60. This  AM/FM Sample Disk #8, labeled ST-57, contains 46 samples from the superb
  61. synthesizer  "Korg  Wavestation".   All  of them are sampled CHORDS, i.e.  not
  62. single-note  sounds,  but  several  notes played together in harmonies.  These
  63. sounds  require  some  basic  music skills to use.  When used, they add a more
  64. "full" sound colour than what you will get by using only one-note instruments.
  65.  
  66. The next AM/FM Sample Disk (#9) will contain drums- and percussion sounds from
  67. the Korg M1 synth.
  68.  
  69. And   the   next   one  after  that  (#10)  will  be  another  one  with  more
  70. non-instrumental sound effects.
  71.  
  72. The  samples  are  stored  on the disk with an IFF-header at the start of each
  73. file.   This  may  cause  the samples to click annoyingly when played from old
  74. music  editors  that  don't handle IFF files, like Soundtracker or JamCracker.
  75. To  avoid this, use a program to cut off the IFF headers or better yet, change
  76. to MED or ProTracker.

  536.      most used chords, all sounds looped for infinite sustain, lots of

  541.    - 48 Instrumental sounds from Korg Wavestation. Great dynamics in these
  542.      characteristic sounds from the Synth of All Synths from Korg. Some
