  6. How To Obtain Disks
  7.  
  8.     First, you may wish to check with your local dealers and user groups.
  9.     Most already have many of the disks.  Since these disks can be copied
  10.     freely, and widespread distribution is encouraged, they propagate out
  11.     to central distribution points fairly quickly.  For currently released
  12.     disks, local sources are often the cheapest and quickest way of
  13.     obtaining a disk you are looking for.
  14.  
  15.     Anyone is welcome to obtain disks directly from me, and in particular,
  16.     to set up a subscription for future disks (see below).  It is the
  17.     subscribers for future disks that essentially fund continuing devel-
  18.     opment of disks and ensure the continuance of the library.

  20.     Naturally, you are encouraged to make copies for your friends, local
  21.     user groups, dealers, etc.  My goal is to get as much software as pos-
  22.     sible into the hands of people that can use and enhance it, and make
  23.     the AMIGA the success it deserves to be.

  25. How to Order

  27.     To order, send a list of the disks you want, and payment in U.S.
  28.     funds to:

  36.     The per disk fee as of December 1990 is as follows:
  37.  
  38.         1   to 9 disks        $6 per disk
  39.         10  to 49 disks        $5 per disk
  40.         50  to 99 disks        $4 per disk
  41.         100 or more        $3 per disk
  42.         complete library    $2 per disk    (see note below)

  44.     The price includes cost of media, mailing materials, and postage.
  45.     Domestic (USA) mail is sent first class.  Overseas mail is sent
  46.     via Air Mail at no additional charge.  Time and other jobs
  47.     permitting, all disks will be mailed within 5 days of receipt of
  48.     order (most are filled the next day).

  50.     If the per disk charge in effect at the time your order is received
  51.     is less than the amount stated above, you will be charged the lower
  52.     rate, and an appropriate credit for the difference added to your
  53.     account.  It is highly unlikely that the per disk charge will be
  54.     higher (it has always decreased, reflecting my decreasing cost for
  55.     disks since beginning distribution of the library).

  57. Complete Library Orders
  58.  
  59.     The "complete library" price ($2 per disk) applies only to orders
  60.     of a complete set of all disks in the library at the time of the
  61.     order.  Up to an additional 100 future disks can be preordered
  62.     at the same time as the initial order, at the same rate.
  63.  
  64.     This offer is intended to provide a relatively low startup cost
  65.     for new user groups, dealers, or other users, to obtain a complete
  66.     library set.

  68. Subscriptions
  69.  
  70.     Feel free to order more than the current number of disks available.
  71.     Excess funds will be placed "in escrow" (refundable at any time) 
  72.     and drawn against for automatic mailings of future disks as they 
  73.     become available.  These disks will be charged against your account
  74.     at the per disk charge in effect at the time they are shipped.
  75.     I hope to add at least four to six disks per month to the library.

  77. Tape Distributions

  79.     Some library materials are now available on 1/4" cartridge tape.
  80.     Below is a description of the first three tapes in the library.

  95.     The distribution fee is $75 per tape.  This includes high quality
  96.     media such as SONY QD-6150 tapes, duplication and handling, and
  97.     priority mail for domestic USA customers or airmail for international
  98.     customers.
