  8. 1. WinPGP now runs in any directory/drive.
  9. 2. Minor bug fixes.
  10. 3. New Bulk-file encryption feature. 
  11. 4. Improved Clipboard style en/decryption.
  12. 5. Optional field added in Decrypt dialog box for "-o" capability.
  13. 6. Preferences updated to add configuration options for Launch button
  14.    and DebugStatus, as well as separating update ini file from OK button
  15.    allowing per-session preference changes without changing user defaults.
  16. 7. A new feature added that allows user to run PGP without having Path or
  17.    PGPPATH set. This feature is not documented as it was created after the
  18.    Help files were compiled.
  19. 8. Now 5% of net registration goes to the Phil Zimmermann Legal Defense Fund.

  25. If using the downloadable release from ftp or BBS <Cserve, AOL included>:

  27. 1. Unzip the file in the WinPGP home directory.
  28. 2. This release includes the following files:

  30.     b. PGPW31.SIG
  31.     c. WINPGP.HLP
  32.     d. README.TXT (This file)
  33.     e. READ_1ST.WRI
  34.     f. PGP.PIF
  35.     g. WINPGP3.PIF

  46. If using the release version diskette:
  47.  
  48. 1. Insert the disk in drive, from Program Manager, do a File | Run, type
  49. either a: or b:SETUP.EXE, and press Enter.
  50. 2. In addition to the above, the diskette version has the files, SETUP.EXE
  51. and SETUP.INF.

  54.    *** IMPORTANT NOTES!!! ***

  57. 1. To ensure proper functioning especially during decrypt operations,
  58. copy all PIF files in WinPGP to your Windows directory.  Decrypt will
  59. cause a full-screen vs. Windowed screen if decryption occurs outside
  60. the WinPGP home directory.

  62. 2. To use the undocumented feature, enter a newline in the WINPGP30.INI 
  63. file in the [OPERATIONS] section.  It should contain the full path name 
  64. where your copy of PGP.EXE resides, i.e.:

  66.     PGPPath=c:\pgp 
  67.  
  68. To avoid problems for registered users, the files, WINPGP30.INI and the PIF
  69. files carry the same filenames as the version 3.0 release  HOWEVER, the
  70. PIF files are different, so replace them in your Windows directory.
