  6. This screen lets you define the @API$(113) database for this system.
  7. You can move through the conferences on the screen by using the
  8. arrow keys on your keypad.  (NOTE: You cannot use the LEFT or RIGHT
  9. arrows while in the "Days to Keep" or "Messages Imported" fields).
  10.  
  11. If you wish to see more conferences you may use the PgUp or PgDn keys
  12. to scroll conference screens.  You can move 100 conferences in either
  13. direction by holding down the CTRL key while pressing PgUp or PgDn.

  15. Press the ESC key to exit this screen and return back to @API$(113).

  18. Import Messages
  19. ───────────────
  20. You can toggle this field to YES or NO by pressing the SPACE BAR.
  21. If this field shows "YES" then @API$(113) will import messages from
  22. a QWK mail packet into the database.

  25. Delete Msgs Read
  26. ────────────────
  27. If this field shows "YES" then @API$(113) will delete any messages
  28. you have read when you next perform a PACK on the database.

  31. Delete Keep Messages
  32. ────────────────────
  33. Normally, you would not want to delete "Keep" messages from your
  34. database.  "Keep" messages are messages you wish to keep and protect
  35. from being packed out of the database.  You can toggle the "Keep"
  36. flag on a message while reading the message in @API$(113) and pressing
  37. the CTRL+K keystrokes.

  39. If this field is set to "YES" then @API$(113) will ignore the "Keep"
  40. message flags and pack out the "Keep" messages in this conference.

  43. Days to Keep Msgs
  44. ─────────────────
  45. This field tells @API$(113) how many days you wish to keep messages
  46. on file for this conference in the database.  Once a message is older
  47. than this date then the next time you pack the database the message
  48. will be removed, even if you haven't read the message.

  50. Note that @API$(113) does not use the date the message was written
  51. but rather the date you imported the message into the database to
  52. determine the age of the message.

  54. Remember that @API$(113) will only let you read up to 400 messages
  55. in a conference.  You may need to lower the number of days you keep
  56. messages on file in order to read all of the new messages.  If you
  57. have EMS memory available you can use the /EMS switch when starting
  58. @API$(113) to increase the number of messages available per conference.

  61. Messages Imported
  62. ─────────────────
  63. This is a running total of the number of messages imported into the
  64. conference by @API$(113).

  67. Cloning conferences
  68. ───────────────────
  69. You can easily 'clone' the setup of one conference to other conferences
  70. in the database.  Position the cursor on the conference you wish to use
  71. as the SOURCE and then press ALT+C and answer the questions.

  74. Zeroing totals
  75. ──────────────
  76. You can also zero out the "Messages inserted" totals by pressing the
  77. ALT+Z key combination.  You will be asked to enter the starting and
  78. ending conferences to zero.
