SICK OF BACH?
Try listen to his Partitas before giving up.
This is my MIDI "performance" of Bach 1st Partita in B flat major.
The "Partitas" are, IMHO, the finest set of "dance" pieces among the
Bach keyboard large production. There are six of them (some say there
are actually seven, if we include the French Overture).
I remember when I first met them, some 15 years ago, it was not that
easy to dig them. This MIDI version I did carefully, each voice is
directed to a different MIDI channel with a distinct patch; I hope
this makes the pieces easier to grasp. Anyway, they are a lot melodic
and it does not take long before you start loving them.
The pieces are meant to be played in the following sequence:
PRELUDE - ALLEMANDE - COURANTE - SARABANDE - MENUET - GIGUE
Let me know how you liked them.
