  1. The following Christmas songs were translated to Apple IIGS MIDI Synth
  2. format from MIDI files that were uploaded to the Internet notes group
  3. alt.binaries.sounds.music by various people.
  4.  
  5. I wrote the program that performed the translations, MIDI Surgeon.
  6. In addition to translating, it will switch tracks or channels within a
  7. MIDI Synth file, or remove several types of MIDI Synth entries.
  8.  
  9. It will be published in the January/February 1994 issue of GS+ magazine.

  40. These sequence files use the standard instrument files shipped with
  41. synthLab (Orch.bnk, Synth.bnk, Piano.Bnk, Demo.Bnk, and Combo.bnk).
  42. To install, copy the sequence files into a directory that contains
  43. the standard instrument and wavebank files. All should be playable
  44. from your favorite MIDI Synth player (synthLAB, Minstrel, synthfile,
  45. MIDI Surgeon, etc.).
