  1. Eric Schwartz Animation List as of October, 1995 (CD-ROM release edition)

  3. Note1: My animations are created with a huge variety of software, from
  4. DeluxePaint 4 to DigiView to Disney Animation Studio. For the sake of 
  5. brevity, I only name the program used to compile all graphics and sound
  6. into a final presentation.
  7.  
  8. Note2- Compatibility: After some testing, I can say with some confidence
  9. that most of my animations will run on operating systems 1.2 thru 3.0,
  10. most processors, and the AGA Chipset of the A4000, A1200, and CD-32.
  11.     The exceptions might be under the anims category, where the particular
  12. animplayer supplied with the animation may not work with your hardware or
  13. software setup. If this is the case, I recommend you find an ANIM-5 player
  14. that does work and replace the other player (This does not work for
  15. Moviesetter and other proprietary animations.) Compatibility with other
  16. proprietary animations and players are listed on a case by case basis
  17. later in this text file.
  18.     The Memory requirement for each animation can vary from the amount
  19. stated in the list depending on your hardware and operating system setup.
  20. extra floppy or hard drives, operating systems, and system add-ons like
  21. virus-checkers and screen savers all eat up memory, so you may require
  22. more memory than the amount stated (Probably not more than 512K,
  23. hopefully).
  24.     AGA chipset Amigas, such as the A4000 and A1200 and their 3.0
  25. operating system will sometimes cause the Movieplayer program to fail,
  26. giving a "not enough memory" error, even when plenty is available. Another
  27. problem causes the animation to play back badly centered on-screen with
  28. the edges clipped. If you have an AGA machine and show these problems, try
  29. shutting down some programs and/or using the Screenmode Preferences to
  30. change the Workbench screen to a lower resolution with fewer colors (To
  31. avoid the center/clipping problem, NTSC or PAL monitor mode is best) It
  32. will usually play the animation properly after that, Although the new
  33. graphics chips in combination with the faster processors (68020 or better)
  34. will often cause some animations to run faster than they were originally
  35. intended to. For best results with older Moviesetter animations, Reboot
  36. your AGA machine holding down both mouse buttons to start it up emulating
  37. the older chipset version.

  40. symbols after it, look up the corresponding code following the list.

  125.  #     Exclusive to the CD-ROM release. Users who buy the CD-ROM are
  126.       allowed use of the animation for personal use only, and may make
  127.       copies for personal backups ONLY. You may not copy or distribute
  128.       this animation to other users, other formats, or recorded to print
  129.       or video (except for review purposes) for six (6) months starting
  130.       from the initial release of the CD-ROM containing this animation.
  131.       Once the six months have elapsed, This animation can be distributed
  132.       freely. users who do not obtain this animation directly from the
  133.       CD-ROM release are obligated to pay a minimal Shareware fee to Eric
  134.       W. Schwartz ($5 or whatever you feel an animation of this caliber is
  135.       worth). Users who buy the CD-ROM can waive the shareware fee.

  137.  **    Fantavision Animations sometimes do not run correctly on AGA
  138.       chipset machines for an as yet unknown reason. Check your monitor
  139.       and screen preferences.
  140.  
  141.  ***   Animations created in Director 2 (such as At the Movies 2) have
  142.       been reported as not working on AGA machines. A new version has been
  143.       remastered for the CD-ROM release that works with the AGA chipset 
  144.       and Workbench 3.0 and above.
  145.  
  146.  ****  This Hyperbook demo needs an Amiga with at least 1 meg of CHIP ram
  147.       to run in full capacity, 512K Chip ram Amigas will not be able to
  148.       view all the pictures from the multimedia setup.
  149.  
  150.  *5   AGA Chipset Amiga strongly recommended, but not required
  151.  
  152.  *6    The "Plight of the Artist" Animation is supplied in two versions: a
  153.       two-part version in which each half can be played separately and
  154.       requires six megabytes to run, or the Full version, which is played
  155.       completely and requires Ten megabytes to run.

  159. are Copyright ©1989 thru 1995 Eric W. Schwartz. These animations are NOT, 
  160. NOT! to be considered Public Domain. All animations are copyrighted but
  161. freely distributable, with a few categorized as Shareware. The animations
  162. should not be sold for much more than the price of the media and the time 
  163. and energy required to copy. I also request that my permission be obtained
  164. before the animation is transferred to any other medium such as video,
  165. print, or computer formats other than Amiga(such as Mac,Unix,or MS-DOS).
  166.      Characters that I have created, such as Amy the Squirrel, Clarisse
  167. Cat, and Flip the Frog are Copyright © 1995 Eric W. Schwartz. Do NOT use 
  168. these characters in your own works unless you are willing to accept the 
  169. consequences. I might not sue you for creating a work using my characters, 
  170. but then again I might, especially if I consider the work particularly
  171. vulgar (Back from the Beach) or insulting to myself or my characters. At
  172. the very least, if your mind is made up to use my characters despite my
  173. pleas, for GOD'S SAKE TRY DRAWING THEM YOURSELF! I'm more impressed by
  174. people that show skill rather than cut-and-paste abilities.

  176.      These anims are available all over but there are only two officially 
  177. ordained distributors.(ones I fully approve of)  Any distributor on this
  178. list, or one who receives my anims from one of these sources is O.K. in my
  179. book, otherwise I cannot confirm quality or SAFETY (I do my best to stay
  180. virus-free) of the animations. I do not mind free distribution of my anims
  181. as long as no one makes their own claim to my work.
