  1. I know how we all like Telix and Zmodem(well I do anyway). The only
  2. problem is you can't pass parameters via the external editor command
  3. (ALT-A) to tell dsz what to do. Nor can you assign a batch file for the
  4. external editor. Hence the birth of dszboot, a program to interface
  5. Telix(or Qmodem if you want to make it a bit easier to do) with dsz.

  7. This is just a stop gap program until zmodem is added to telix (version 3.0).

  9. There are two files in this archive, dszboot.exe which is for com1 and
  10. dszboot2 which is for those of us that use com2.

  12. To implement simply define your editor as dszboot.exe

  14. Thats all there is to it. Now when you want to use zmodem to upload or
  15. download, just press ALT - A.

  24. Seem's some folks don't care to do a file copy from the default
  25. directory to someplace else or either don't have room on the
  26. default drive - directory to download and need to redirect the
  27. download someplace else.....Ok, you can. dszboot will read the
  28. telix configure file and find your download directory path. All
  29. download's will go to the download directory instead of the
  30. default directory. Just make sure that the path to the download
  31. directory does NOT end with a \
  32.  
  33. Example of a correct path:   C:\com\dload
  34.  
  35. Example of an BAD path(one that shouldn't be used): C:\com\dload\
  36.  
  37. Drive's don't matter. You can have telix on drive D and your
  38. download path on drive C,A,B,Q or what every is a legal DOS
  39. drive.

  41. NOTE:  This program works on ALL standard Pc's. My computer
  42. being the 'Standard'.
