- Often I leave the capture buffer ON while on CompuServe or other
- telecommunications services. And generally, I reply to messages ON LINE.
- The problem with this is, any of my BACKSPACE edits become part of the
- capture buffer. If you TYPE the capture buffer to the screen, you won't
- notice it. DOS handles the backspace characters for you. For example, TYPE
- BAKTEST.TXT. Load it up into a text editor, such as QEdit, and you'll see
- those little boxes with the hole in the middle - the PC graphic character
- representation of the backspace character.
-
- To test this program try: BAKZAP BAKTEST.TXT
-
- Now load BAKTEST.TXT into your editor again, and you will see that BAKZAP
- has nuked all those annoying backspaces for you. Now you can print your
- capture buffer, or edit it for your newsletter without having to muck about
- with all those annoying control-H characters.
-
- Compiled with Turbo C 2.0. Source code is included. Hack it to your
- heart's content, share the code with others. Please leave (c) Ratware
- Softworks, '88 somewhere in the source code - if you make BAKZAP a part of
- your programs. Thank you for your cooperation.
