  4. In this section we will cover the bulletin subsystem. Bulletins are text files
  5. that provide you with timely information about a variety of topics. These may
  6. include instructions for new users, upcoming events, and other material that
  7. the SYSOP would like to bring to your attention. Bulletins may be read at the
  8. time of log on, or at any time using the "B" command.
  9.  
  10. When you enter the "B" command, the following prompt will appear:
  11.  
  12.                  Read what bulletin(s), L)ist, N)ew, (ENTER=none)?
  13.  
  14. Entering "N" will display any new bulletins posted by the SYSOP since the last
  15. time you logged on.
  16.  
  17. Entering "L" will list all of the bulletins available.
  18.  
  19. You can read a single bulletin by entering its number, or read a series of
  20. bulletins by entering each number separated by a semicolon. For example,
  21. entering {C41;3;7 {C0will display bulletins 1, 3 and 7.

  33. You can also "stack" bulletin commands. For example, if you enter {C4B;3;5 {C0at
  34. the main menu prompt, the system will enter the bulletin subsystem and display
  35. bulletins 3 and 5.

  37. As you use the bulletin subsystem, there are a couple of points to keep in
  38. mind:
  39.  
  40. 1. You may find it useful to capture bulletins to disk on your personal
  41. computer for later viewing. "Capture to disk" is a valuable feature
  42. available on many communications programs (e.g., Qmodem, Crosstalk).
  43.  
  44. 2. Some SYSOPs make their bulletins available on the Files System for
  45. downloading.
  46.
