  6.      I received your letter and the disk with EDPROLOG today and
  7. must admit I was very gratified to find you were interested in my
  8. Tree puzzle program - and thank you for the new ProLog!
  9.  
  10.      I have been happily busy with logic problems and syllogisms since
  11. doing the Tree puzzle and I include two other of my efforts on this disk.
  12. All three programs work just fine on my AT&T 6300 and all three have
  13. simple start-up commands (like "go." or "hello.").  My machine does have
  14. quite a lot of RAM (640k) but, as I understand things, this should not
  15. pose problems for users with smaller systems since the language only
  16. makes use of about 256k.  I hope this is the case.

  18.      You will be interested to know that I have started planning a 
  19. "free university" style course for next semester at the community college
  20. where I teach.  The course, Introduction to ProLog, will be using your
  21. public domain version of the language and Clocksin & Mellish's book.
  22. This first offering will probably be limited to other staff members,
  23. but if all goes well I'll offer it next year to faculty & students.  My
  24. real motive is to enable my own learning as much as to teach the language.
