  6. About NCSA Telnet
  7.  
  8. NCSA Telnet Version 2.3 for the PC provides interactive access 
  9. from an IBM PC or compatible to telnet hosts on TCP/IP networks. 
  10. NCSA Telnet is an implementation of DARPA standard telnet 
  11. with added features that take advantage of the local processing 
  12. power of the PC.

  17. Special features of NCSA Telnet for the PC include:

  20. %    Local printer support for VT100 emulation
  21. %    Simultaneous logon to a number of computers
  22. %    Ability to capture text to the PC disk or printer
  23. %    File transfer server (standard FTP)
  24. %    Remote copy server (rcp) for use with UNIX hosts
  25. %    Ability to take full advantage of PC colors
  26. %    Topview/Windows compatibility
  27. %    Tektronix 4014 emulation
  28. %    Added applications such as:  lpr, lpq, lprm, rexec, rsh, finger, 
  29.     setclock (all similar to UNIX utilities)
