  1. The Modem/Cable version of ITRON's COMMIX Network Software (CNS) supplied
  2. with this diskette supports the same functions, except electronic mail, as
  3. the standard version of COMMIX Network Software for a COMMIX network. CNS
  4. works on personal computers operating under MS-DOS, and gives you the
  5. capability to auto-dial Hayes(c) compatible modems, emulate a VT100
  6. terminal, transfer files, and manage serial printers.

  8. The standard version is available for $49, and includes full documentation
  9. and support for use in a COMMIX 32 network. The full version also includes
  10. electronic mail capability. The COMMIX 32 is an intelligent hardware unit
  11. which provides highly flexible office networking for PC,s Macintoshes,
  12. minicomputers, modems, and printers. At a cost of approximately $120 a port,
  13. you can have transparent communication between computing devices. Because
  14. the COMMIX 32 recognizes the Hayes(c) "AT" command set it is compatible with
  15. most PC applications and hardware. Speed, code, and parity conversion give
  16. you great connectivity without having to constantly reconfigure computing
  17. devices.

  19. Thin and standard Ethernet LAN modules are available for COMMIX 32 to
  20. provide convenient premises networking of multiple COMMIX 32 units. A Wide
  21. Area Network module expands COMMIX 32 networking to a global scale. The
  22. COMMIX Print Buffer modules delivers effective management of printing
  23. resources.

  29. shareware concept. This means that you can make and distribute as many
  30. copies as you wish. CNS is copyrighted software (1987) and YOU MAY NOT sell
  31. CNS alone or as part of another product. The complete manual is supplied as
  32. a file (CNS.DOC) on this diskette. It will tell you how to install and use
  33. CNS. To use it, you can either TYPE CNS.DOC to read it on your screen, or
  34. PRINT CNS.DOC to print the manual on your printer. No other documentation or
  35. support is provided with this Modem/Cable version.
