- The accompanying file, aidstech.doc, is the text of a file of
- technical information prepared by Dr. Alan Solomon, Chairman IBM PC
- User Group, London, concerning the PC Cyborg AIDS Disk trojan. I have
- copied the file from the Virus-L (comp.virus) archives on
- certs.sei.cmu.edu, and edited it slightly in the following manner: In
- a few places it looked like transmission errors had changed a newline
- character to J, and I changed it back. The character <control-H>
- appeared in a context where it seemed that a printing character,
- perhaps an IBM PC graphic character, was intended to represent the
- space character. I changed it to the character ~ to improve
- readability. In the encryption table and sample decryption BASIC code
- the characters <control-H> and <control-G> appeared in the file. I
- wasn't sure what had been in the original, so I changed them to ^H
- and ^G respectively to improve readability. I trust that these minor
- typographical changes will make it easier to output and read this
- file without altering the meaning in any essential way.
