  32.                     file to vanish if you used the "Rename" button on

  34. 09/08/95  2.7j  Corrected minor problem on Names screen:  you couldn't
  35.                     erase a date field (i.e., make it blank) after a
  36.                     date had been entered in it.

  63.                     3. The new method for entering phone numbers in their
  64.                        proper format had a bug which caused WML to crash.
  65.                 I goofed with the Export routines!  WML has been asking
  66.                     which fields to export, however, only the Ventura
  67.                     Publisher format actually used what you selected.
  68.                     All export routines are working properly now.
  69. 08/23/95  2.7e  Corrected these bugs in the Import section:
  70.                     1. If you entered a file name complete with path
  71.                        WML would bomb.
  72.                     2. The File Window was incorrectly displaying the
  73.                        "Help", "Delete", and "Rename" buttons.

  75.                     was dropping the period (.) between the filename
  76.                     and extension.
  77.                 Corrected problem with loading import definition file:
  78.                     WML was getting the path name wrong which caused it

  102.                 WML was incrementing the Times Mailed counter and
  103.                     updating the Last Mail Dates for entries which were
  104.                     Selected but did not print due to incomplete address
  105.                     information.  It now only updates those records
  106.                     which actually printed.
  107. 07/28/95  2.7b  Added disk drive change feature to the File Window.
  108.                     You may press Alt-V or go to the Disk Drive box and
  109.                     press ─┘Enter to pop up a menu of disk drives.
  110. 07/26/95  2.7a  Added a new option on the Print/Select/Query sub-menu
  111.                     under "Actions" entitled "Process using Import
  112.                     Technique". This option will process all of the
  113.                     Selected entries using the Smart Import Technique
  114.                     defined on the Data Entry Preferences screen (use
  115.                     F1/Help on this screen for more details).
  116.                 Corrected a problem with the file name input window
  117.                     (used when importing & exporting) which caused WML

  122.                     on the screen, so if you press F7 to save a new

  124.                     press PgUp to jump to that entry.
  125.                 Corrected problem with ABBREVS file which caused an
  126.                     error window to appear on the DE/Names screen.

  131.                     line up properly, a bad font choice is noticed, and

  134.                     invalid path you could not open a file.  WML now
  135.                     checks for validity and modifies the path if
  136.                     necessary.

  139.                     to the first entry after every operation.  Now it

  159. II. INSTALLATION NOTES
  160. ──────────────────────
  161.     All of the files contained within the archive you received (either
  162. an EXE, ARJ, or ZIP file) must be placed within a single directory.
  163. Your data files may reside in any directory or on any disk drive.  See
  164. the "List of files" section below for files which may be removed if
  165. disk space is limited.
  166.  
  167. Installing on Floppy Disk
  168. ─────────────────────────
  169.     WML can be run from a 720k (or greater) floppy disk although it will
  170. access data and operate very slowly.  When using floppy disks, it is a
  171. wise idea to have an archival copy (a "master") apart from the one you
  172. use daily (the "working" copy).  Use the DISKCOPY command to make a
  173. working copy of a floppy disk, if necessary.

  175. Documentation Files
  176. ───────────────────
  177.     If you have WordPerfect 5, just load WML.WP.  Instructions to reformat
  178. and print are in a comment at the top of the file.  If you don't have
  179. WordPerfect or a way to convert the WML.WP file to your word processor,
  180. then just "TYPE WML.TXT > PRN" at the DOS prompt.  WML.TXT is an ASCII
  181. file generated from WordPerfect for a "standard printer" and this command
  182. will send it to the printer on port LPT1:.  You can substitute the "PRN"
  183. with "LPTx:" where the "x" is 1, 2, or 3.

  186. III. UPCOMING FEATURES
  187. ──────────────────────
  188.  
  189. I have a huge list of planned enhancements to WML.  Suggestions from
  190. users are very welcome & appreciated.  Here are just a few of the
  191. enhancement plans for WML:
  192.  
  193. ■  Ability to prepare a disk to send to P.O. for zip code correction and
  194.    9-digit expansion.  Although WML has a fixed-field ASCII export, it
  195.    does not yet meet U.S. Post Office requirements.
  196.  
  197. ■  Have a single "master return address" and then a seperate return
  198.    address for each file.  If the file has a return address set, then
  199.    ask for choice; otherwise use master.
  200.  
  201. ■  Add a field for Internet (or other network) address
  202.  
  203. ■  Ability to define an optional group file so that separate group
  204.    definitions can be associated with a list.  This would make it easy
  205.    to sell a list with its associated groupings or to view a limited
  206.    number of groups for a given file.
  207.  
  208. ■  Group report which shows number of entries in each group for a given
  209.    mailing list (skipping groups with zero entries).
