  3.   The price of VPUBLISH is now $24, as CYBRTEXT is now
  4. available.  You can register VPUBLISH online at GO SWREG
  5. on C-Serve, reg. number 7879.

  9.   VmASC is now much improved over the version that is here
  10. as VBACKG however I haven't heard from anyone about it so
  11. I won't bother upgrading VBACKG. VmASC is on C-Serve in
  12. the IBMAPP forum, and is registrable under # 7877.

  14.   I'm concentrating my energies on graphics software and
  15. a game, and may find time to make CYBRTEXT Windows-ready.
  16. I'll still be available to help with VPUBLISH (which will
  17. have its niche for some time yet) and do any upgrades that
  18. seem indicated.

  20.   NUVAREAD is greatly enhanced now, and is also available
  21. on C-SERVE as NUVREAD2.  Its registration number is 7878.

  23.  Incidentally, VPUBLISH turns out to work on a network while
  24. CYBRTEXT doesn't. I am contemplating a new version of
  25. CYBRTEXT which will be networkable.

  29. :NOTE RE: RELEASE of FEB 22 1995

  31.   The package now also contains VMNUBLD2.EXE which is the
  32. menu builder to go with the enhanced menu. Load a DOS mouse
  33. driver before attempting the new VBACKG utility. The menu
  34. now handles the extended character set (it didn't, before.
  35. However a Quebec user complained so I rewrote it to handle
  36. the extended characters. It was a fundamental rewrite... )

  38.   You will also discover a package on disc (if an on disc release)
  39. called NUVAREAD. This is a greatly enhanced version of VAREAD which
  40. is specifically oriented towards document distribution. Check it out!
  41. Note - I could easily add shell and hypertext to NUVAREAD if anyone
  42. is interested!

  47. Check out VSAMPLE2 on this disc, which shows how the
  48. new VPUBLISH will allow a custom background for the menu.
  49. (To be released mid Feb 95) (Note VSAMPLE2 is a beta test
  50. sample menu, so it has not been fully tested.) There also
  51. will be a test release which allows different CFG files
  52. to be loaded.

  58.   A different version was released on Compuserve on Feb 1 95.
  59. This package contains files that were specifically added to
  60. enrich the Canadian Remote Systems (CRS) release. They are
  61. now in the Compuserve package as well.

  64. :UPCOMING RELEASE:

  66.  In mid to late Feb 1995 a new release will contain an
  67. optional, self-designed mini menu and a COMPUSERVE account
  68. number or EMAIL address to contact the author directly.

  70.   (as of Feb 22 - the mini menu is on hold while I finish
  71. CYBRTEXT. I hope to have saved enough money to get my WINDOWS
  72. compiler running on my machine and make CYBRTEXT Windows-
  73. compatible, by early March. Financial constraints now make
  74. it necessary that I do no further work on electronic
  75. publishing software after that unless I get some sales.)
