  30. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before buying it.
  31. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you are required to
  32. register it.

  34. Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and retail software, and the
  35. copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as stated
  36. below. Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like retail
  37. authors, and the programs are of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are
  38. good programs and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  39. distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute
  40. the software, either to all and sundry or to a specific group. For example,
  41. some authors require written permission before a commercial disk vendor may
  42. copy their Shareware.

  44. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You should find
  45. software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's retail or
  46. Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting your needs easier, because you
  47. can try before you buy. And because the overhead is lower, prices are lower
  48. also. Shareware has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  49. product, you don't pay for it.

  120.           Installing T-N-T for Windows
  121.  
  122.     Before you can use T-N-T for Windows you have to run the T-N-T for 
  123. Windows setup program from Windows so it will work properly on your computer.
  124. You cannot just copy the files from the T-N-T for Windows disk to your hard
  125. disk.  The files on the distribution disk are packed in a special way to
  126. save space.  The setup program unpacks those files and builds them on
  127. your working disk.
  128.  
  129.     1.  Start Windows.
  130.     
  131.     2.  Place the T-N-T for Windows Disk 1 in the Floppy Drive.
  132.  
  133.     3.  Activate Program Manager
  134.     Make Program Manager the active window.
  135.  
  136.     4.  Open the File Run Dialog Box
  137.     To open the File Run Dialog Box, select "Run" from the Program
  138.     Manager's File Menu.
  139.  
  140.     5.  Enter the Command Line
  141.     Type in the dialog box the command that will run the
  142.         T-N-T for Windows setup program.
  143.  
  144.     If your floppy disk goes in your Drive "A", type:
  145.         A:SETUP
  146.     If your floppy disk goes in your Drive "B", type:
  147.         B:SETUP
  148.  
  149.     Leave the "Run Minimized" box un-selected, and click the
  150.     "OK" command button (or press "Enter").
  151.  
  152.     6.  Enter the Drive and Directory
  153.         This is the location that you want your T-N-T for Windows files to
  154.         be placed.  It will suggest a drive and directory of "C:\T-N-T".
  155.  
  156.         If you want the T-N-T for Windows program files installed on a
  157.     different drive or directory, just click the pointer to the
  158.     right of the characters you want to change, backspace over
  159.     the ones you want to erase, then type in the new designation.
  160.  
  161.     7.  T-N-T for Windows Setup will unpack the necessary files and place
  162.     them into your directory.  The status of the operation will be 
  163.         displayed as the setup program does this work.  If T-N-T for Windows
  164.     came on more than one disk, during the unpacking of the disks you 
  165.     will be requested to insert the next disk.

  167.     8.  The setup program will notify you when the installation is
  168.     complete.

  186. There is no 800 number for technical assistance.  Northstar Solutions will 
  187. process credit card purchases on behalf of Micro Moonlighters, but they DO  
  188. NOT offer technical support for this product.

  196. You are encouraged to pass a copy of the shareware version of T-N-T for Windows
  197. along to your friends for evaluation.

  199. If you do so, you must provide them with the entire set of T-N-T for Windows
  200. shareware version files. These include:

  203. SETUP.INF
  204. PSP1.CMP
  205. README.TXT
  206. VENDOR.DOC
  207. FILE_ID.DIZ

  209. Do not simply copy the files off your hard drive. T-N-T for Windows must be
  210. installed using the SETUP program!

  212. If you intend to charge for distribution, you must adhere to the requirements
  213. of the VENDOR.DOC file.

  217.                Purchasing the Licensed Version
  218.  
  219. You may use the shareware version of T-N-T for Windows for a 30 day trial
  220. period.  If you would like to continue to use T-N-T for Windows after the
  221. 30 day trial period, you are required to purchase the licensed version of 
  222. T-N-T for Windows.

  224. When you purchase the licensed version of T-N-T for Windows you will receive
  225. disk(s) with the licensed version.
  226.  
  227. T-N-T for Windows may be purchased from a number of sources. You are free to
  228. purchase your copy from where ever you desire.

  230. To purchase directly or by credit card, go to Help and select Register and 
  231. print an order form.  You may order:
