New to this version since release 3.18
QCom:
New options/features have been added to QCom. They include:
File Manager Added. Use Alt-F to try it out. This File Manager
will also pop up whenever there is file selection activity.
Example: Press ALT-V to edit/view a file. The File Manager will
appear. Select the file using the arrow keys (Top:pressing the first
letter of the file name will put the cursor on the first file
starting with that letter.) and press Enter. The editor will then
load the file you have selected.
Same procedure is used when transferring files. If ZModem or YModem
Batch is being used, file tagging can be used when uploading. Use the
Space bar to tag files. When done, press Enter.
Text editor is now supplied, called QE.EXE. If upgrading make sure
you change your external editor setting in the Options to read
"QE.EXE". Same applies to QMP editor setting.
Selecting different macro files for editing is now easier in
QCom Configuration.
QCom Configuration will now create missing subdirectories after
prompting the user for confirmation.
Host program is new and completely rewritten. Designed to operate
as a mini-BBS, it now includes support for caller passwords, messages
and file areas. Text control files permit you to decide how your Host
will operate. For information about QCom Host, see Chapter 9 in QCom.DOC.
When saving screen images or scrollback buffer you may now optionally
append to or overwrite a previously existing file.
QCom documentation has been updated and expanded.
New: Support BBS phone number: 1 204 632 5675.
Bug fixes:
Fixed mouse handling in the Dialing Edit screen. Some users were
having problems with Qcom when using non-standard Com ports. This
version should address that problem.
Some users using DOS Double Space were experiencing crashes when running
QCom from the compressed disk. To resolve this, we are distributing
Qcom executables in uncompressed format.
