  1. Filters provide a way to look at your data in different ways.
  2. WHen a Filter button is clicked, the main list at the
  3. bottom of the screen will have different contents. The
  4. entire list is still there, you are just looking at different
  5. portions of it depending on the Filter.

  7. With all filters except "complete" you are given the option
  8. to move the search list to the end of you main list. This
  9. is useful when you select Reverse by clicking on the
  10. checkbox to the left and top of the list.

  12. When you have filtered your list, and then enter a new
  13. item, the new item will only appear in the current visible list
  14. if it meets the condition of the filter. However the new
  15. item has in fact been added. (See Help/Options)

  17. Here are the filters:
  18. Complete: Your complete list.
  19.  
  20. Important: Brings up a list of only the things marked important.
  21.  
  22. By Topic:  You choose a topic name, and the list will now
  23.                show those things having that topic. You enter
  24.                in a topic (optional) when you enter the thing,
  25.                or replace it.
  26.  
  27. By Word:  This is a search by word(s).
  28.  
  29. By Date:   You have choices of all things on a certain date,
  30.                those which were enter today, those on or before
  31.                a given date, those on or since a certain date,
  32.                and those between two dates (inclusive).
  33.                An item has to be stamped with the date for
  34.                it to be recognizedi in a date search.

  36. You may apply two filters at once. For example, you could click on
  37. Important to bring up all the items marked important. Then, when
  38. enabled, you can click on 2nd filter and further filter this list
  39. by Date, by Word, by Topic.
