  14. Description:
  15. -----------
  16. EzDesk is a Windows(R) 95 taskbar notification icon that manages the desktop
  17. icons layout.  There are many times when a perfectly arranged desktop icons
  18. is scrambled by an errant application or an accidental desktop arranged by
  19. name, type, size, or date.  EzDesk can restore the desktop icons layout to
  20. a saved state.
  21.  
  22. By default, EzDesk maintains the desktop icons layout for each resolution
  23. setting.  The registered version allows the selection of desktop icon layout.
  24.  
  25. EzDesk offers the following features:
  26.  
  27. * Managing the desktop icons layout. 
  28.  
  29. *    Tiling of a selected window to the size of the screen excluding the
  30.     Taskbar area. This feature is available in the EzTask package.
  31.     (This feature is enabled only with registered version)
  32.  
  33. *    Clearing the contents of Documents Menu.
  34.  
  35. * Clearing the contents of the temporary location (often left behind by 
  36.   a program that crashed!)

  38. Installation:
  39. ------------
  40. Installation of EzDesk is easy. First, copy the files in the archive into
  41. a temporary directory.  Then, right-click on the setup INFormation file
  42. (EZDESK.INF file.. which looks like a text file with a little gear on it)
  43. and choose the INSTALL command. When you're done installing the EzDesk,
  44. you can then delete the files in the temporary directory.  In short, the
  45. installl script simply copies EZDESK.EXE into the WINDOWS directory, places
  46. a shortcut in the StartUp menu, and registers an uninstall in the Control
  47. Panel Add/Remove Software.

  49. *** After the installation, you can start EzDesk from the Start-Programs-
  50. StartUp menu.  EzDesk will start automatically on subsequent startup, unless
  51. preempted by the shift key during startup.

  53. EzDesk can be uninstalled via the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
  54.  
  55. You can also install QUICKRES the same way.

  59. Single-click on the EzDesk icon in the taskbar notification area (where
  60. the time is in the task bar) to popup the EzDesk menu.
