Digital Storm (DigiStrm.S3M)
------------- By DD.
Hey there!
Watcha. Hope ya havin' yourself a good time there, whatever
ya may be up to. I'm actually not doing a great deal. See, I've just
finished my A Levels and have to wait 2 months or so now for my results
which to be honest, I'm dreading a little. I need B,B,C to get into
Southampton University on the Computing Course I wish to do, but I've
got all these bad vibes. I'm fine on computing. Hopefully an A, which
allows me to get a B, and D, or C,C. C in Maths? Possibly. C in Physics?
Very unlikely!
Anyway. I've just finished editing my sisters wedding video, that
I made. See, I do that kind of thing as a paying hobby. Tell ya something
though, it don't pay well for the amount of work involved! But it's fun.
I'm just going into coders hours now, as the clock is reading
nearly 11:30. Ok, not coders hours - musicians hours. Coders work far
later into the night (eh, Arjay? ;) ).
I've just got a spin routine code. Great it is. Bez has been
working on getting to work with DemoVT, by Iguana.
QBass has just gotten himself an Roland R-8 drum machine. Over
£300 he spent on that, but he said he doesn't care and that it'll be
the last time he'll be able to buy something before he goes to university!
Good point, and I hope that means he'll release a bit more of that dancy
music he makes. It's quite good. I'm actually a Bon Jovi fan, but I love
all sorts of music.
I tell you who is talented, and that's C.C.Catch and Purple Motion.
If you can, get some of their music. Brilliant!
Hey look... Here comes a blatant plug for my local board, where I
hang out:

Hey, Its getting another line soon, so, WOW! - online chats!
All my released music is there, and QBass' music. Loadsa utils
and stuff. Actually the sysop, Arjay, is having a little problem
with his CD-ROM drives at the mo, but that'll be sorted soon, and
with those huge hard-disks of his, there'll be loadsa stuff there.
Hey, NO RATIOS, and NO SUBS board. Now, that CAN'T be bad!
I've only got a measly 170MB hard-drive and that doublespaced to
300Mb or so (don't worry everything's backed up).
Mind you it is a 486 which is better than some Amiga owners I
know... QBass! Hey, QBass is building his own 486DX4-100 though,
so he doesn't count!
Ok, Which programmers out there can type 'count' really quickly?
and which are too used to typing 'for(count=0; count<256; count++)'?
Hey, it may not be:
count: do this...
...in small...
...incomprehensible...
...mnemonics, ; Ok it isn't really that
JNZ count, ; bad... is it?
but at least its better than:
FOR count=1 TO 256 STEP 1
PRINTCHR$(141)"BBC BASIC IS GREAT"
NEXT count
Anyway. Time to sign off I think. It's nearly 11:45 now and I'm starting
to get tired. Perhaps that's why I never was a good coder. Mind you, QBass
says when you get back from a nightclub with kicked in ears, and knackered
legs, at 3:00 and you sit down at a computer, you come up with great music.
Hmmm... Well, that's 'cause he writes rave! Either that or it's those
Spanish Girlfriend's again (BTW: I mean Amigas!)
Toodle-pip, and good night.
