  1. INSTALLATION NOTES:
  2.  
  3. YOU MUST USE THE -d OPTION WHEN YOU PKUNZIP THE ZIP FILE.  IF YOU DID NOT DO
  4. THIS, DELETE ALL OF THE FILES IN THIS DIRECTORY AND DO IT AGAIN!
  5.  
  6. I highly advise that you delete all files that belong to older versions of
  7. TInstall that you may have on your computer.  I would also remove the TInstall
  8. unit from your library BEFORE you add the new TInstall.
  9.  
  10. You must install the components in order: TInstall, TReportManager, and then
  11. the TModifiedReport.
  12.  
  13. Files to install are:
  14. TInstall -- install.dcu  (Will be installed to the Samples palette)
  15. TReportManager -- rptman.dcu  (Will be installed to the Samples palette)
  16. TModifiedReport -- rpt2.dcu  (Will be installed to the Data Access palette)
  17.  
  18. To do this go to the Options|Install Components menu option.  Click the Add
  19. button.  Then enter the appropriate directory and file name for whichever
  20. component you are going to install.
  21.  
  22. To merge the component help into the Delphi help you must add the .kwf files
  23. to the delphi.hdx file by using the HelpInst program that comes with Delphi.
  24. Inside the HelpInst application, open the delphi.hdx file (usually in
  25. \delphi\bin), add the install.kwf, mdreport.kwf, and rptman.kwf files, and
  26. then choose Save.  You should now be able to get context-sensitive help with
  27. the components.
  28.  
  29. Note:  You CAN NOT use the name 'install' for the project that you use
  30. the TInstall component in.
  31.  
  32. SOFTWARE REGISTRATION:

  35. The un-registered version has the following features taken out of it:

  39. When you call the Execute method of the TInstall component, no files will be
  40. copied, no aliases will be installed, no ReportSmith connections will be
  41. installed, and no program items will be added to the program manager.

  43. TMODIFIEDREPORT --
  44.  
  45. The Run method of the TModifiedReport component has been wired to do nothing
  46. when you call it, except display a message about registering the component.
  47.  
  48. The cost of all three components is $25.00.  Shipping and handling inside the
  49. United States is $5.00; outside the United States is $10.00.  If you want to
