- This is yet another FileID-extractor for fileinformation (file_id.diz) as
- found in AmiNet-files, BBS-systems, etc. What makes it different from
- other FileID-extractors is :

- - Supports MPEG audio files
- - Can be used to extract single files
- - Can operate in Aminet-mode, i.e. look out for readme files
- - Recursion into subdirectories
- - Huge graphical user interface (useable w/o GUI as well)
- - Extracts faster than other programs
- - Multidirectory support
- - Different ways of sorting
- - No external programs (except LHa,Unzip,Lzx,cfx) required
- - 1000s of options
- - The program is continuously updated and will be expanded even
- further

- Supported filetypes are: Aminet-.readme-files Exe, Dms, Txt, Lha/Lzh, Lzx,
- Zip, MPEG-audio files all other files are examined via cfx (Crunched File
- Examiner by Bob Rye), if present.

- This is Version 39.547 (eleventh release to the AmiNet). This update of
- FiDED features one new options and MPEG-audio support.

- Remeber that FiDED is EMail-Ware, which means that you have to send me an
- E-Mail or Snailmail if you use the program regularly. I'll then keep you
- informed about future releases and updates if you want to.

- for the filename). Use the option/tooltype NODATE
- · NOINFO tooltype/option just prints raw file id's
- · Finally: FiDED (when started from shell) may be
- aborted by sending an Control-C signal.
