  6. This is yet another FileID-extractor for fileinformation (file_id.diz) as
  7. found in AmiNet-files, BBS-systems, etc.  What makes it different from
  8. other FileID-extractors is :
  9.  
  10. - Supports MPEG audio files
  11. - Can be used to extract single files
  12. - Can operate in Aminet-mode, i.e. look out for readme files
  13. - Recursion into subdirectories
  14. - Huge graphical user interface (useable w/o GUI as well)
  15. - Extracts faster than other programs
  16. - Multidirectory support
  17. - Different ways of sorting
  18. - No external programs (except LHa,Unzip,Lzx,cfx) required
  19. - 1000s of options
  20. - The program is continuously updated and will be expanded even
  21.   further
  22.  
  23. Supported filetypes are:  Aminet-.readme-files Exe, Dms, Txt, Lha/Lzh, Lzx,
  24. Zip, MPEG-audio files all other files are examined via cfx (Crunched File
  25. Examiner by Bob Rye), if present.

  27. This is Version 39.547 (eleventh release to the AmiNet).  This update of
  28. FiDED features one new options and MPEG-audio support.
  29.  
  30. Remeber that FiDED is EMail-Ware, which means that you have to send me an
  31. E-Mail or Snailmail if you use the program regularly.  I'll then keep you
  32. informed about future releases and updates if you want to.

  85.       for the filename). Use the option/tooltype NODATE
  86.     · NOINFO tooltype/option just prints raw file id's
  87.     · Finally: FiDED (when started from shell) may be
  88.       aborted by sending an Control-C signal.
