  27. ScreenShow is a Windows 3.1 screen saver which will play .fli and .flc 
  28. animation files as well as display .bmp, .rle and .dib files.  The flics 
  29. and image files can be combined into a script file which allows fade, 
  30. looping, speed control and other control parameters.  ScreenShow also 
  31. includes Password and autoload features.  Full documentation is available 
  32. on-line under the help menu.

  50. 3.0 Important Notes
  51. 3.1 Animation files
  52.  
  53. The .fli files are animation files which are generated in Autodesk Animator
  54. software.  In addition these animation files can be found on many BBS's.
  55.  
  56. The .flc files are animation files which are generated in Autodesk Animator Pro
  57. software.  This software is fairly new but these files should start appearing
  58. on BBS's.

  60. 3.2. Use of Autodesk's Animation Player for Windows
  61.  
  62. ScreenShow makes use of Autodesk's animation player for Windows DLL to display
  63. all animations.  In addition this DLL is used to show the dialog boxes for
  64. animation file selection and the script editing dialog box.

  66. 3.3. Animation speed and Hard Disk Cache
  67.  
  68. The Autodesk animation player supports reading the entire animation file 
  69. into memory before starting to play the animation.  ScreenShow does not
  70. use this option by default, we have found that the best preformance is
  71. achieved by letting your hard disk cache software cache the animation.
  72. So for most users this default should give the best results.  However,
  73. for the users who want to use the memory load option create a script 
  74. file for the animation file specify the memory load option.

  76. 3.4. Animation Display Defaults
  77.  
  78. When using single animation files in order to change some of the defaults
  79. assumed by ScreenShow create a script file for this animation.  All defaults
  80. can be overwritten in a script file.

  82. 3.5. Location of aaplay.dll and aavga.dll
  83.  
  84. These files can be located in the same directory as ScreenShow.  However,
  85. if you have other Windows software which use these DLL they can be placed 
  86. in the windows\system\ directory.

  90. The Autodesk animation player supports sound in Windows 3.1.
