One of the most powerful artifacts ever seen is the fabled hot rock. No one knows exactly what it is, or what it does. Usually found in quarries, these strange stones emit a greenish-reddish light. It is known that only powerful mages and scholars can handle them, as those of lesser levels have been seen to get sick if handling one of these mysterious rocks. Area cartographers claim that an old historical tome states the existance of a least one such rock. To limit access to all but the most intelligent, the tomestates the location in riddle as follows: "To the island where but a single red tree doth grow, to there thou must with shovel go, to seek and dig around the tree, therein the hotrock you shall see."
