Great wizards and mages traveled, trading lore of magic, keeping their knoweledge in sacred scrolls. But the artifacts remain lost. Wise ones would walk with a glowing shield of magic around them, firing bolts of energy from their hands, and no creature could stand against them. But we of the sea saw it all, and could record it in our ballads and tales. Then wise King Eldor arose in his youth, diligently he fought for the land, for wars were many in those bygone days... And he arose to the 8th level, and was a mighty fighter and magic-user, but he always maintained a humble nature. Yet he wast the best...
