  4. INTRODUCTION
  5.    
  6.     Here is a listing of books on disk in the 
  7. history of religion series currently available from 
  8. Reality Software. The price differences between 
  9. books reflect both the work that went into the 
  10. research and their length. The least expensive 
  11. contain documents whose length is less than 25 
  12. pages. The more costly contain articles in 
  13. excess of 75 pages for the longest documents in the 
  14. package and, in some cases, extensive glossaries as well.
  15. Such estimates vary with printer and print 
  16. setup, of course. These works are scholarly and written 
  17. for thinking adults. They represent an attempt at 
  18. original synthesis from the literature and some of 
  19. the writing is at journal level.
  20.     All Windows products come with REPLICA, an 
  21. application independent viewing system which 
  22. bypasses the need for a word processor. REPLICA is 
  23. easily installed into WIN 3.1 or WFW 3.11 and can 
  24. then be used to view and print the electronic 
  25. books. Full instructions are included. For those of 
  26. you who may be interested in our products and do not 
  27. have a high-end Windows system, notice that several 
  28. books are available with a superb document viewing 
  29. interface for DOS (BigText) that in the latest version 
  30. (1.3) incorporates graphics to produce illustrated

  55. the dark abyss of the deep ocean. Available for DOS only.

  57.      3) Early Myth and The Goddess in Ancient China is a 
  58. discussion of the feminine in Shang and Chou Dynasty myth and the
  59. central role played by the Myth of the Sacred Mulberry Tree (Fu
  60. Sang). Major use is made of recent publications by Birrell and 
  61. Allen and there are also discussions of archeology, Manchu 
  62. shamanism and possible commonalities with Western metaphor.

  93. REALITY SOFTWARE ON THE INTERNET

  95.         Free shareware versions of each products are available 
  96. at several of the largest BBS's in the United States such as 
  97. Exec-PC (1-414 789-4210) and Software Creations (1-508 
  98. 368-7036). Set your communications software to ANSI emulation 
  99. and 8,1,N.  
  100.         They are also available through the Internet at three
  101. of the largest BBS's in the US but only subscribers are allowed
  102. to download shareware when the connection is made via telnet or
  103. ftp (although see World Data Bank below)*
  104.         1) You can telnet to Software Creations at swcbbs.com.
  105. Type B at main menu prompt followed by 9 to read about
  106. subscription options. To download, type D at the main menu prompt
  107. followed by the exact filename of the archive you wish to
  108. obtain (see below).
  109.         2) Telnet to the DSC BBS at dsc.voicenet.com (192.204.289.
  110. BBS. Type B at the main menu prompt followed by 2 to read about 
  111. subscriber options. Type D at the main menu prompt followed by 
  112. the exact filename of the archive you wish to download.
  113.         3) Our shareware is also available at a second FTP site, 
  114. the World Data Bank BBS whose Internet address is wdn.com.
  115. Although also a subscriber system, they do allow nonsubscribers
  116. to download. Their download limit per day for non-members is 360K.  
  117. This download limit will allow you to acquire our DOS shareware
  118. via FTP. It will not allow for FTP of Windows shareware, the file
  119. sizes are much too large (see below). Type D at the main menu prompt 
  120. followed by the exact filename of the version you wish to
  121. download. Use the BANK door to store up to 360K thus acquiring the 
  122. ability to download up to 720K at one time (every other day).  
  123.         I can supply our shareware on HD disk at cost: $3 within the 
  124. U.S. and $4 overseas (includes postage) for all titles with one
  125. exception (see below).

  129.         Shareware versions contain introductory materials, a brief 
  130. preview of the main text, and in some cases a glossary. Each also 
  131. contains a packaged reader (explained above - BigText or Replica) 
  132. which might be of interest to those involved with the technology of 
  133. producing and disseminating e-books. The approach to the Windows 
  134. versions obviates the need for a user to have any word processor 
  135. and allows for a highly designed text. Registration brings the full
