  3. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.8 adds the ability to automatically
  4. increment volume labels when labelling, formatting and writing
  5. diskettes.  Volume labels can be serialized when duplicating saved
  6. diskette images.

  10. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.7 adds a verification option to the
  11. Group Duplicate function.

  13. The Boot Through code has been modified to handle SCSI devices.
  14. Diskettes formatted with SAB Diskette Utility will load the system
  15. from the hard drive even if they are in the A: drive during system
  16. startup.

  20. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.6 adds the ability to copy files
  21. to a saved diskette image.  It also adds the ablility to find out
  22. how much space is available on the current diskette image.

  24. An option has been added to the Group Duplicate function to tell
  25. the system to continue to duplicate sets of diskettes until the
  26. user tells it to stop.

  28. A small fonts option has been added to the SETUP screen.  This
  29. will cause the use of the small system font in dialog boxes.
  30. This will make the dialog boxes smaller.

  34. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.5 adds the ability to copy/delete
  35. files from a saved diskette image.

  39. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.4 adds a setup routine to install
  40. the required files and setup a Program Manager Group.

  42. The user interface has been substantially improved.  Every dialog
  43. has a status/information bar that is mouse postition sensitive.

  45. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.4 has been approved by the
  46. Association of Shareware Professionals (see the SHAREW.TXT file for
  47. additional information).

  51. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.3 adds optional support for Double
  52. Space.  System diskettes may be made Double Space aware.  This means
  53. that if you have Double Space compressed drives and you boot from a
  54. Double Space aware diskette you will be able to access the
  55. information on the compressed drives.

  57. Diskette image conversion is now available.  You can read a diskette
  58. into memory and then convert to any format (360KB, 720KB, 1200KB,
  59. 1440KB, 2880KB) that has sufficient space for the data.  The
  60. conversion preserves the boot sector and any reserved sectors.

  62. Diskette browse command that shows the volume label, date and
  63. statistics for a diskette.
  64.  
  65. Open command displays browse information for diskette file images.
  66. It also supports the truncate option which tells the system to only
  67. read in allocated cylinders.

  69. The performance of the SaveAs (saving a floppy diskette image to the
  70. hard drive) function has been improved.  Support for the truncate option
  71. (which tells the system to only save allocated cylinders) has been
  72. added as well.

  74. The system does not require CTL3D.DLL.

  78. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.2 adds support for deletion of
  79. groups of diskette images.  The user can select a group file
  80. and delete it and the associated diskette images after at
  81. least one set of diskettes has been made from the images.

  83. Support for specifying a group control file on the command line
  84. has been added.  This means that a program item can be added to
  85. a group that when pressed will automatically copy a set of diskette
  86. images to diskettes giving the user instructions on the number
  87. and type of diskettes needed and how to label each one.  The syntax
  88. for doing this is:
  89.           SABDU.EXE /@[drive:][path]filename.SDG
  90. The diskette images to be copied must be in the directory defined
  91. by drive:path.

  93. Statistics commands have been added to allow the user to display
  94. the number of functions performed since the system was installed,
  95. since the session started or since the last reset of the session
  96. statistics.

  98. Control over the interval between beeps when using the sound option
  99. has been added.

  103. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.1 adds support for creation of
  104. groups of diskette images.  The user may create a control file
  105. that includes a description of the set of diskettes, general
  106. instructions, diskette image file names, and instructions to
  107. be displayed after each diskette image is copied to a diskette.
  108.  
  109. This means that it is possible to set up a control file for an
  110. application and have the user prompted for each diskette to be
  111. inserted and instructed as to how to label each diskette.

  114. for examples of how to set up the control files.
