  4. MyTrash, Vers. 2.2b, is " yet another Windows file deletion program" 
  5. (Freeware) with features that I found lacking in other programs with 
  6. similar functionality.
  7.  
  8. MyTrash uses a traffic light metaphor to convey current configuration 
  9. information.  MyTrash has the ability to:
  10.  (1) Delete the files once they have been dropped into the trash basket. 
  11.       Icon will appear RED when in this mode. (RED for danger).
  12.       Trashcan will always appear as an "empty" trashcan icon.
  13.  
  14.  (2) Move the files over to the MyTrash directory, selected by user, 
  15.       and delete the files next time MyTrash is started.  This provides 
  16.       some measure of protection over accidental file deletion.  
  17.       Icon will appear YELLOW when in this mode (YELLOW for warning).
  18.       "Full" trashcan icon when MyTrash directory contains files to be deleted.

  20.  (3) Move the files over to the MyTrash directory, selected by user, and 
  21.       delete the files only when explicitely requested via a menu option.  
  22.       Icon will appear GREEN when in this mode (GREEN for "safe"). 
  23.       "Full" trashcan icon when MyTrash directory contains files to be deleted.

  26. The user will be warned if an attempt is made to delete a file that already 
  27. exists in the MyTrash directory when in modes YELLOW or GREEN above.  This 
  28. warning may be de-selected if so desired via the MyTrash configuration function.
  29.  
  30. In addition, the user may associate a .WAV file of his/her choice when items
  31.  are dropped into the trashcan icon.

  40. Installing MyTrash:
  41. (1) Copy mytrash.exe into any directory, e.g. c:\windows
  42. (2) Copy BC40RTL.DLL to your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
  43. (3) Copy BWCC.DLL to your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
  44. (4) Open Windows File Manager and drag and drop the mytrash.exe from the directory
  45.      into which it was copied to the StartUp group in Program Manager, or
  46.      edit WIN.INI file so that mytrash.exe, full path, is inserted in the WIN.INI 
  47.      run= parameter in the [windows] section;
  48.          e.g. run=c:\windows\mytrash.exe
  49.  
  50. At this point you can either re-start windows to invoke MyTrash or double-click 
  51. the MyTrash icon in the StartUp Program Manager group.
  52.  
  53. (5) Configure MyTrash by double-clicking the MyTrash icon.
  54.     A sample .WAV is included.
  55. (6) A Help facility is included. 
  56.  
  57. Notes:
  58. (1)  MyTrash, when in modes YELLOW or GREEN, requires a directory.  MyTrash will
  59. create the directory in the designated location if the directory does not exist.
  60. (2) MyTrash automatically creates a mytrash.ini file in the windows directory.  
  61. The .INI file is used to contain MyTrash configuration information.
