LOTTERY TOOL v 3.2
For those of you that approach the lottery games with a more
scientific view this is a tool that will help you evaluate the
drawings and hopefully help you to pick some winning numbers. I
have stuck with the popular numbers and have fared better than I
did before using birthdays and such. Future versions will try to
make winning number predictions.
Menu functions :
1. Count number of hits.
This scans the database entries and counts the
number of times that a number is hit. After it
scans, the Number and counts will appear on the
left side. Scanning is shown in the upper right
hand portion of the screen. (might be to fast to
see.) Also the 6 highest counts and 6 lowest
counts are indicated with a "+" in green for
highest and a "-" in red for the lowest counts.
2. Pattern search.
This operation allows you to see what the last
numbers where that were hit and how many
times. If you wish to see what the last group of
lottery drawings count results you set the number
of records and press enter. After the scan you
will be prompted. Strike any key and it will
continue to count backwards and display the
numbers and counts per group. You can exit with
escape any time.
3. Database
This takes you to another submenu where you will
create, edit, switch databases, or add records.
IMPORTANT ! Presently if you wish to add a new database
of numbers DOWN LOADED FROM THE SUPPORT BBS you will,
1st- Keep the downloaded database out of the subdirectory
that Lotto Tool is in.
2nd- Create the database with Lotto Tool entering the
name and number range, answer N for no to the
"Do you wish to use this database now?" question.
3rd- Copy the downloaded database to the Lotto Tool subdirectory
overwriting the one created by Lotto Tool.
You may now use the new database normally.
Currently database files for the Florida pick 6
and Georgia Pick 6 are available to registered
users of Lotto Tool.
4. Repeat Combos.
This section scans the database for recurring
number combinations. Pairs, three matches, and
four matches. As it is running it will be
displaying the current numbers that it is
scanning for and writing to a disk file named
<dbf_name>.RPT regardless of what database your using
This will be in an ASCII text format so you
can view it on screen with other software or print
it out at your leisure with almost any word
processor. It will also overwrite any old
file by that name that may be in your subdirectory.
5. Skip and Hit
This section goes back thru the records and gives
you a history of how many times a number is skipped
after the number was called. The numbers are shown
with the most recent drawing first then how many times
the number was skipped after a hit. 0's represent
a hit and the numbers represent the number of times
that number has been skipped. The file name that this
produces is <dbf_name>.SKP
6. Hits display
Shows a visual history display of the numbers picked
since the beginning of the data entries.
Outputs to screen, disk file or Epson compatable printer.
If you write to a disk file it will ask for the file
name then it will be named <your_file>.GRF
7. Exit
Leaves the program.
The Repeat combo scan is very fast compared to another Lottery
program that I tried out. The other program was running for 12
hours scanning a 235 record 6 digit database and was only up to the number
10 combinations tying up my computer and printer. It also only
outputed the scan to the printer.
Lottery Tool scanned the database in just under 7 min. This
comparison was done on a 386SX 20mhz with 1 meg. of cache + 1 meg.
of EMS and a 40 meg MFM harddrive.
Differences from older versions.
1. Fixed error after adding a record then attempting to
edit during same session would abort the program.
2. ADDED THE USE OF "0" for pick 3 and 4 lotteries.
3. You will have to create your own databases with a list
of lottery numbers supplied by your state.
*Note this version will not use the storage
file for versions prior to 2.0 ..
