  5.      The program Fund Investor automates the access to Fidelity and
  6. Vanguard families of mutual funds using automated service telephones.
  7. The program permits a speedy, access to these funds: obtaining individual
  8. quotations and balances including the last purchase/sale/exchange of
  9. shares in your account. An additional feature is the automated transfer
  10. of funds from your bank to some groups of funds, or between funds.
  11. The program also calculates the actual return on investment in these funds,
  12. taking into account dividends and the change in share price.

  14.      Any change in prices of shares, bonds, or mutual fund is automatically
  15. stored. A separate section of the program permits compilation of all
  16. investments in Treasury and Corporate bonds. The actual yield of these
  17. bonds is calculated and payment dates listed. If an interest payment is
  18. due within 30 days, then this entry is highlighted for your convenience.
  19. The program also calculates the actual yield to maturity and duration of
  20. bonds.
  21.      Another section is devoted to direct investments in the stock market.
  22. The program permits direct downloading of stock quotations from CompuServe
  23. Service and automatically updates the portfolio. The quotes are also stored
  24. in a historical data file and can be plotted. There is also a section for
  25. recording your investments in bank accounts, such as Certificates of
  26. Deposit, or Money Market accounts.

  28.      The program maintains a permanent record of all transactions, calculates
  29. the actual yield on investment for individual accounts as well as provides
  30. the "purchase date and price" and "selling date and price" for all "closed
  31. positions", according to IRS rule FIFO (ie. "First in, first out").

  37.            To install the program, you should start the Windows program and
  38. select the "File Manager". Using the File Manager, execute "INSTALL.EXE"
  39. program and respond to all queeries as they appear on the screen.

  41. This will initiate the installation program. During the installation, you
  42. will be given the opportunity to select the disk and the sub directory
  43. where you wish the program to reside. After the succesful installation,
  44. the configuration routine will be started, where various paramaters must be
  45. defined. The program provides a context sensitive help to assist you in
  46. thw process.
