To make selection, point the mouse to the function on the Menu bar and press down on the left button. In order to make a schedule, these items must be completed: o - A Department must be set up, use menu item "Departments" to add, change or delete departments. o - Employees for that Department must be entered, use menu item "Employees" to add, change or delete employees. Once the above is completed: o - Click on menu item "Schedule" o - Select the department from the list of departments. The Main Editor will be displayed for scheduling. To schedule time, point the mouse to any cell and press down on the left button. Enter or change any Daytype from the keyboard. To open a cell for additional information, press the right mouse button, fill in the data and save. The cell will be identifeid with a red underscore. Repeat the procedure to open the cell again to look at the information. To see the employee's full year schedule, point to the employee's name and click, the year Editor will appear. Enter assignment time between 00:00 and 24:00. Fixed Activity, Miles and Hours etc. are entered in theDepartment profiles. See Departments on the menu of the opening screen. In the Department profiles, information is entered that is unique to a Department. A Department may include the entire organization or Departments within the organization. Each Department may have up to 60 Employees. Entrees are checked to prevent duplicates. Fixed Activity overrides the line Activity in the corresponding Day detail line in the Editors. Name will be the desination for the corresponding line number in the Day detail (Hours, Miles etc.) A Daytype consists of: o - One character identifying the Daytype (2) o - An explaination (Second shift)o - Optionaly, time (21:00 01:30 02:15 05:00) You may start on day one and end on day two. Hours are from 00:00 to 24:00. Minutes are in 15 minute intervals. A midnight start is 00:00, a midnight end is 24:00. The font that you selected is too wide to print all the information across the paper. Select a font that is smaller or change the paper orientation from portrait to landscape. Use "Printer setup" on the Menu bar to do this. To see the schedule of one employee for an entire year, click the mouse on the employee name. There are two password levels. One for the General Manager and two for the Department Managers. Loosing or forgetting the General Manager's password will results in denied access to any department files. You may delete the need for passwords if you make the General Manager's password blank. A password must be between 5 and 12 characters long. This password will restrict your access to this Department only. If you loose your password, only the General Manager can reinstate your access by giving you a new one. Change your password on a regular basis. To schedule time, point the mouse to any cell and press down on the left button. Enter or change Daytypes from the keyboard. To open a cell for additional information, press the right buton, fill in the data and save. The cell will be identifeid with a red underscore. Repeat the procedure to open the cell again to look at the information. Changing Daytypes that are currently used in scheduling will not be active after the change. After the deletion of this Daytype, any occurences of the Daytype in the schedule will not be active. This feature was added to keep the Editors from unnecessary clutter. If normal office hours are from 8 to 5, Monday thru Friday, the employees working those hours, are left blank without the need to enter a Daytype. The "Template" function will help you schedule Shift rotations etc. You may schedule up to 99 days and paste these days on to the main schedule without overwriting what was already scheduled there. Day details will not be duplicated as part of the pasting. Enter or change the number of days in the Template from 7 to 99. If you check "Show week-ends" and the number of days do not divide evenly by 7, you will be told..... Remember... The first day of the Template should fit the day following the last day of the Template for good scheduling rotation. Use the same edit keys as on the main Editor. You may change the start day at any time to the next rotation point.
