THE DISK FACTORY VERSION 2.2
----------------------------
Copyright (c) 1991,94 Responsive Software
Description
-----------
The Disk Factory is the latest shareware product from Responsive Software.
It is a full-screen diskette storage and copying utility. Features include
storage of 1.44Mb, 1.2Mb, 720Kb and 360Kb diskettes as images on a hard disk
which can then be duplicated at the click of a mouse button, keyboard free
mass-production mode, label printing, data compression (for registered
users). It uses persistent multiple resizable overlapping windows to
separate diskette images into libraries or categories making it ideal
for those who have a large number of diskettes to manage such as
shareware/software distributors. On-line context sensitive help is provided.
The program runs under DOS and supports both DOS and OS/2 diskettes.
Registration costs NZ$29.95 (US$19.95)
System Requirements
-------------------
Minimum - An IBM compatible PC running DOS 2.0 or greater.
Recommended - A Microsoft 6.0 compatible mouse and a hard disk.
Optimum - 1 megabyte of EMS memory.
Installation
------------
The Disk Factory requires no installation apart from copying the two files
DISKFACT.EXE and DISKFACT.HLP to the appropriate subdirectory on your hard
disk. See your DOS reference manual for help on creating subdirectories
and copying files.
Assuming you are copying the files from a diskette in drive A: and
you wish to put them in a subdirectory named DISKFACT on drive C: you need
to enter the following at the DOS prompt to get you up and running:
C: (to make C: the current drive)
MD \DISKFACT (to create a subdirectory)
CD \DISKFACT (to move to the subdirectory)
COPY A:DISKFACT.* (to copy the files from the A: drive)
DISKFACT (to start the Disk Factory)
Instructions
------------
All instructions are provided on-line through a context-sensitive help
system which is invoked by pressing F1. This will open a help window which
can be zoomed to full screen by pressing F5.
Hypertext links are provided by selecting the highlighted text using the
Tab and Enter keys or by double clicking with the mouse.
