C·E·N·T·N·E·T ──────── A Professional Mailing NetWork ──────── C·E·N·T·N·E·T
- Admittance Guidelines -
12-01-1994
Any system can apply for admittance into the Centipede community.
We are a relaxed, profressional, and friendly network. Because our
nature is that of literature and poetry and anything creative along
those lines, we ask that all members participating use their real
names in the 'FROM:' field. We also ask the Sysop to force an ECHO
flag on all conferences, including but not limited to, the PERSONAL
echo.
Because of our love for communication and spreading the joy of
creation, we ask that individuals are given free access to CentNet.
Since we seek a very specialized topic in CyberWorld, there is not
a large audience active in this network; however, those who do take
part in us, both not only write quality messages, but also read
other's thoughts and respond with great enthusiasm.
Professionalism, in our opinion, via software, is one in which
we seek only those who are registered. We tend to shy away from
boards who run unregistered software.
Submitting an application puts you in a process in which we
decide whether your system is 'right' for Centipede. This network
is not for just anyone. It was not made for pronographic systems,
nor for BBS's which offer only online games, et cetera. This type
of interviewing applicant's is not established, our connecting you
and deciding on validation varies from person to person, and from
system to system. Hence, it does not hurt to apply for admission,
in fact, it does good to do so.
There is really nothing else to be said, either than that none
of the conferences from Centipede are to be cross-linked with any
other network... Actions of this sort, when found, will result
in an automatic dismissal.
Generally, most applicant's who apply are immediately verified
and accepted into Centipede. The only systems which we always
must turn down are those which run on unregistered software.
