  4. Thanks for trying the BOWLING ASSISTANT.
  5.  
  6. This is version 5.43. In version 5.42 the program was upgraded to better
  7. handle scratch leagues (no handicap). When the scores were entered for
  8. a handicap league in version 5.42, the handicap totals listed on the data
  9. entry screen were wrong. This bug has been corrected in version 5.43. This
  10. is the only change made between the versions. All users of 5.42 should
  11. upgrade to this version. If you encounter any problems with the program or
  12. have suggestions for improvement, please let me know by sending Email to
  13. dick.marchessault@enest.com or calling 401-822-2175.

  15. To install the program on you computer, run the program INSTALL.EXE by
  16. typing INSTALL at the DOS prompt. For example:

  20. The program manual and help are accessed from within the program. Run
  21. the program BOWLASST.EXE by typing BOWLASST at the DOS prompt.

  26. At any prompt after the program loads press function key F1 and the
  27. Enter key twice. The first time F1 and Enter are pressed, a two line
  28. help message will appear. The second time F1 and Enter are pressed, the
  29. on-line manual and help file will be shown.

  31. The BOWLING ASSISTANT is a versatile, easy to operate bowling league
  32. record keeping program. With this program you can eliminate the hours
  33. spent each week manually updating your league records. After setting up
  34. your league with the program you will maintain accurate and detailed
  35. records by simply spending a few minutes each week entering the scores.
  36. As soon as the scores are entered the program takes care of all the
  37. record keeping details. In addition to a compreshensive weekly standing
  38. sheet, a variety of detailed reports can be printed at any time.
