  13. 2100Z Saturday and ends at 0100Z Sunday (4 hours).

  19. Classes:  A) Single op, all band; 1) Less than 150W output;
  20. 2) More than 150W. B) Multi-op, single transmitter.

  22. Exchange: USA stations: send RST + state
  23.           Canadians: send RST + province
  24.           All others: send RST + QSO nr.

  26. Multipliers:  each USA state,  DXCC country, and each Canadian
  27. province,  + VE8 and VY1.  Notes: Multipliers count only once,
  28. not  once per band.  KH6 and KL7 count as DXCC countries only.
  29. USA and Canada do not count as DXCC countries.

  31. QSO points: Count 1 point per QSO.

  33. Final score: Total of QSO points x total of mults.

  38. Comments:  Strictly  a 4-hour RTTY speed contest.  All  rules,
  39. scoring, bands, etc., are the same as ARRL RTTY Roundup. There
  40. are  NO band multipliers.  It's a good workout for quick  band
  41. changing and tring different CQing techniques. Since the rules
  42. are  the  same as the Roundup,  you can use the  same  logging
  43. software,  too.  It should be a good tune-up for the Rounduo 4
  44. weeks later.

  122. 9M6,  EAST MALAYSIA.  Saty, JE1JKL will be active as 9M6NA for
  123. CQWW  CW  Contest  on 20 meters single band.  QSL  to  JE1JKL.
  124. Although  he prefers exchanging QSLs via  the  bureau,  please
  125. note  that  his home address has been changed recently if  you
  126. want a QSL direct.  The new address is: Saty Nakamura, 1-27-2,
  127. Kamiya, Ushiku, Ibaraki, 300-12 JAPAN.
  128.  
  129. A2,  BOTSWANA.  Dave,  A22MN,  says  he will be operating  160
  130. meters starting at 0300Z (November 14th) on 1827-1828 kHz.  He
  131. will start on 160, then as propagation permits he will move to
  132. 80  meters  (3511  Khz),  then  to  40  meters  (no  frequency
  133. mentioned).  He  plans to run this operating schedule for  one
  134. week,  then this schedule will be run every other week due  to
  135. his work schedule (one week on and one week off). Dave will be
  136. leaving  A2-land in mid to late March 1995.  Then he is off to
  137. Helsinki for 4 years.  Also, he said that ARRL CW weekend will
  138. probably be his last contest from A2.
  139.  
  140. C6,  BAHAMAS.  Operators WS4E, K0PP, KE7X, NF6S, and WM2C will
  141. sign C6AHX as a Multi/Single entry during the CQWW CW Contest.
  142. The group will be operating from Treasure Cay, and will have 3
  143. stations  plus lots of antennas set up.  QSLs for C6AHX go  to
  144. WA4WTG.
  145.  
  146. CR3/CT3,  MADEIRA  ISLANDS.  Dominik,  DL5EBE (DX-editor of CQ
  147. DL),  along  with DL2HYH,  HB9CRV and a few others will be  on
  148. Madeira  island  from November 25th until December  1st.  They
  149. will  be  active during the CQWW CW Contest as  CR3U  (DL2HYH,
  150. 15m),  CR3X  (DL5EBE,  40m) and CT3FN (HB9CRV,  80m)  each  in
  151. single  op/single  band  class.   The  DL's  will  be  signing
  152. CT3/homecall  before  and  after  the  contest  on  all  bands
  153. including  some RTTY,  AMTOR,  PACTOR.  QSLs will be via their
  154. homecalls.
  155.  
  156. FK,  NEW CALEDONIA.  Serge,  F6AUS, will be active as FK/F6AUS
  157. from November 17th to December 8th. He hopes to be active from
  158. Loyalty Islands (IOTA OC-033),  from Huon Island (IOTA OC-058)
  159. and Belep (IOTA OC-079).  He will operate on all bands CW  and
  160. SSB, but watch on IOTA frequency.
  161.  
  162. FR/G,  GLORIOSO  ISLAND.   Jacques,  FR5ZU,  will be active as
  163. FR5ZU/G  from November 17th to December 8th.  Look for him  to
  164. show up on some of the French DX nets. QSL for Asia via JA8FCG
  165. and for America/Europe via VE2NW.
  166.  
  167. OT,  BELGIUM. ON4WW/Mark, ON4UN/John, ON6TT/Peter, DK7PE/Rudi,
  168. DL1VJ/Bernd, RA3AUU/Harry, DL1SBR/Frank, and DJ4AX/Klaus, will
  169. be active as OT4T in a Belgian Multi/Single entry in the  CQWW
  170. CW  Contest.  The group will be operating from ON4UN's QTH.  A
  171. colored picture QSL card will be available via ON4UN  (through
  172. the bureau or direct).
  173.  
  174. T32,  EASTERN KIRIBATI. A group of JA operators will be active
  175. from here December 27, 1994 to January 2, 1995. Their possible
  176. callsigns may be: T32J (JR5JAQ), T32A (JA5EXW), T32Q (JR4QZH),
  177. T32X (JA4GXS) and T32O (JF4LNO YL).  Activity will be on 160-6
  178. meters CW/SSB/RTTY and there may be a possibility of satellite
  179. operations.  QSL  via their homecall:  Masanobu  Yamao/JA5JAQ,
  180. 222-44  Higasikakioi-cyo,  Matsuyama-city,  Ehime,  Japan 791,
  181. Tsutomu  Saiki/JA5EXW,   1663   Kitaumemoto,   Matsuyama-city,
  182. Ehime,Japan 791-02, Shigeru Ueda/JR4QZH, 3-54-4-5 Nakano, Aki-

  186. Jack,  KD4ND, will be traveling to Christmas Island on the 3rd
  187. of December for a bonefishing edpedition. He has applied for a
  188. license and Jack feels his callsign will be T32ND.  During his
  189. 10 days stay. he will try to be active on all bands, mostly on
  190. SSB with some CW operations.
  191.  
  192. V4,  ST.  KITTS  AND NEVIS.  John/WZ8D and Joe/WB8GEX will  be
  193. operating on all bands 160-6 meters CW and SSB,  from November
  194. 19-27th.  Their  calls will be V47WZ and V47NF,  respectively.
  195. They  will  be leaving a 3.5 watt 6-meter  beacon  donated  by
  196. WA8R.  It will be on 50055.5 kHz with a dipole at 1580 ft ASL.
  197. The beacon's callsign will be V44K.
  198.  
  199. VE0,  CANADA  (RARE  PREFIX!).  For  WPX  and  Canadian  Award
  200. hunters,  the  relatively  rare VE0 prefix will  be  activated
  201. November 14-29th.  Paul,  VE1UK, will be signing VE0UK onboard
  202. an oceanographic research vessel during this time.  He will be
  203. on all bands,  80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 meters, SSB only.
  204. QSL to VE1UK, 1994 callbook address.
  205.  
  206. VP2E,  ANGUILLA.  Operators from the Potomac Valley Radio Club
  207. (Brian/ND3F,  Barry/WR3Z  and Rob/ND3A) will be operating as a
  208. Multi/Multi  entry during the CQWW CW Contest.  They  will  be
  209. using  the  callsign VP2EZA during the  contest.  During  non-
  210. contest  periods,  they will be operating on 10-160 meters  CW
  211. and SSB using VP2E/homecall. QSL VP2EZA via ND3A and the other
  212. calls  via  the respective operator.  DO NOT QSL TO  THE  VP2E
  213. BUREAU!
  214.  
  215. VP5,  TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS.  K8MFO,  WD8AUB, W9VNE, W6RGG,
  216. WA4DRU,  WT8N,  W0CG, and WD8LLD will be active in the CQWW CW
  217. Contest  as a Multi/Multi entry signing VP5VW.  The group will
  218. be operating from the QTH of Jody,  VP5JM.  The operation is a
  219. tribute  to longtime friend Hal Brooks,  W9VW who passed  away
  220. two years ago.  WT8N,  WD8LLD,  W9VNE, and K8MFO wil share the
  221. low band duties while W6RGG,  WD8AUB,  WA4DRU,  and W0CG  will
  222. tackle the high bands. Outside the contest, each operator will
  223. be signing VP5/(his homecall). QSL cards for VP5VW go to W8TPS
  224. and QSLs for the individual contacts outside the contest go to
  225. the operator's home call.
  226.  
  227. VR2/VS6,  HONG KONG.  Dave, WX3N, will be returning to VS6WO's
  228. QTH  for two weeks (between November 22nd and December 3).  He
  229. plans to operate 80/160 meters each day starting at 1030z  and
  230. continue  through  the Hong Kong night.  On 80 he will  choose
  231. from one of three frequencies to transmit on: 3.501, 3.507, or
  232. 3.513.  David  states  that  past experience  shows  that  the
  233. eastern  NA  stations will have from 10 to 30 minutes  to  get
  234. through  at  sunrise.  Additionally,  he  will  simultaneously
  235. operate on 160 on 1824 or 1833 kHz.  Look for VR2/WX3N outside
  236. CQWW  CW  Contest (he will be listening up 1 to  2  KHz  above
  237. transmit  frequency).  For  CQWW CW Contest,  he will  operate
  238. VS6WO Single/Op.
  239.  
  240. ZB2,  GIBRALTER. Jorma/OH2KI and Peter/K8UNP will be active in
  241. the CQWW CW Contest.  Jorma will operate Single Band 80  Meter
  242. CW  in the contest using the call ZB2X.  QSL to  OH2KI.  Peter
  243. will  be operating as ZB2/K8UNP or K8UNP/ZB2 (depending on how
  244. they assign the call).  Peter will be single op on 10,  15, or
  245. 20  meters (depending on the band conditions and when  he  can
  246. operate when Jorma is off the air). QSL to K8UNP.
  247.  
  248. DXAC/DXCC  ACTIVITIES.  DXAC members have recently received  a
  249. petition  for  separate  country  status for  the  Kingdom  of
  250. Mustang.  The  Kingdom is a small area bordered by  Tibet  and
  251. Nepal  (coordinates are 29.10 N and 83.55 E).
  252.  
  253. The Kingdom of Mustang was once a part of Tibet, but was ceded
  254. to Nepal from China.  It has retained its Tibetan culture  and
  255. is OFF LIMITS to foreigners (EXPLORER CD). The petition states
  256. the  Kingdom  of  Mustang has  autonomy,  has  an  independent
  257. political organization and its borders are recognized by other
  258. countries. The petition was filed by WA2FIJ and N0AFW.
  259.  
  260.   The  DXAC will be voting on three issues later in the month:
  261. 1)  The DXCC country status of Austral Islands  and  Marquesas
  262. Islands,  2) The DXCC country status of Ballent Islands and 3)
  263. The establishment of a DXCC Award for Mobile Operation.

  442. A2,  BOTSWANA.  Dave,  A22MN,  says  he will be operating  160
  443. meters starting at 0300Z (November 14th) on 1827-1828 kHz.  He
  444. will start on 160, then as propagation permits he will move to
  445. 80  meters  (3511  Khz),  then  to  40  meters  (no  frequency
  446. mentioned).  He  plans to run this operating schedule for  one
  447. week,  then this schedule will be run every other week due  to
  448. his work schedule (one week on and one week off). Dave will be
  449. leaving  A2-land in mid to late March 1995.  Then he is off to
  450. Helsinki for 4 years.  Also, he said that ARRL CW weekend will
  451. probably be his last contest from A2.
  452.  
  453. C6,  BAHAMAS.  Operators WS4E, K0PP, KE7X, NF6S, and WM2C will
  454. sign C6AHX as a Multi/Single entry during the CQWW CW Contest.
  455. The group will be operating from Treasure Cay, and will have 3
  456. stations  plus lots of antennas set up.  QSLs for C6AHX go  to
  457. WA4WTG.
  458.  
  459. CR3/CT3,  MADEIRA  ISLANDS.  Dominik,  DL5EBE (DX-editor of CQ
  460. DL),  along  with DL2HYH,  HB9CRV and a few others will be  on
  461. Madeira  island  from November 25th until December  1st.  They
  462. will  be  active during the CQWW CW Contest as  CR3U  (DL2HYH,
  463. 15m),  CR3X  (DL5EBE,  40m) and CT3FN (HB9CRV,  80m)  each  in
  464. single  op/single  band  class.   The  DL's  will  be  signing
  465. CT3/homecall  before  and  after  the  contest  on  all  bands
  466. including  some RTTY,  AMTOR,  PACTOR.  QSLs will be via their
  467. homecalls.
  468.  
  469. FK,  NEW CALEDONIA.  Serge,  F6AUS, will be active as FK/F6AUS
  470. from November 17th to December 8th. He hopes to be active from
  471. Loyalty Islands (IOTA OC-033),  from Huon Island (IOTA OC-058)
  472. and Belep (IOTA OC-079).  He will operate on all bands CW  and
  473. SSB, but watch on IOTA frequency.

  475. FR/G,  GLORIOSO  ISLAND.   Jacques,  FR5ZU,  will be active as
  476. FR5ZU/G  from November 17th to December 8th.  Look for him  to
  477. show up on some of the French DX nets. QSL for Asia via JA8FCG
  478. and for America/Europe via VE2NW.

  480. OT,  BELGIUM. ON4WW/Mark, ON4UN/John, ON6TT/Peter, DK7PE/Rudi,
  481. DL1VJ/Bernd, RA3AUU/Harry, DL1SBR/Frank, and DJ4AX/Klaus, will
  482. be active as OT4T in a Belgian Multi/Single entry in the  CQWW
  483. CW  Contest.  The group will be operating from ON4UN's QTH.  A
  484. colored picture QSL card will be available via ON4UN  (through
  485. the bureau or direct).

  487. T32,  EASTERN KIRIBATI. A group of JA operators will be active
  488. from here December 27, 1994 to January 2, 1995. Their possible
  489. callsigns may be: T32J (JR5JAQ), T32A (JA5EXW), T32Q (JR4QZH),
  490. T32X (JA4GXS) and T32O (JF4LNO YL).  Activity will be on 160-6
  491. meters CW/SSB/RTTY and there may be a possibility of satellite

  500. of December for a bonefishing edpedition. He has applied for a

  502. 10 days stay. he will try to be active on all bands, mostly on
  503. SSB with some CW operations.

  505. V4,  ST.  KITTS  AND NEVIS.  John/WZ8D and Joe/WB8GEX will  be
  506. operating on all bands 160-6 meters CW and SSB,  from November
  507. 19-27th.  Their  calls will be V47WZ and V47NF,  respectively.
  508. They  will  be leaving a 3.5 watt 6-meter  beacon  donated  by
  509. WA8R.  It will be on 50055.5 kHz with a dipole at 1580 ft ASL.
  510. The beacon's callsign will be V44K.

  512. VE0,  CANADA  (RARE  PREFIX!).  For  WPX  and  Canadian  Award
  513. hunters,  the  relatively  rare VE0 prefix will  be  activated
  514. November 14-29th.  Paul,  VE1UK, will be signing VE0UK onboard
  515. an oceanographic research vessel during this time.  He will be
  516. on all bands,  80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 meters, SSB only.

  519. VP2E,  ANGUILLA.  Operators from the Potomac Valley Radio Club
  520. (Brian/ND3F,  Barry/WR3Z  and Rob/ND3A) will be operating as a
  521. Multi/Multi  entry during the CQWW CW Contest.  They  will  be
  522. using  the  callsign VP2EZA during the  contest.  During  non-
  523. contest  periods,  they will be operating on 10-160 meters  CW
  524. and SSB using VP2E/homecall. QSL VP2EZA via ND3A and the other
  525. calls  via  the respective operator.  DO NOT QSL TO  THE  VP2E
  526. BUREAU!

  528. VP5,  TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS.  K8MFO,  WD8AUB, W9VNE, W6RGG,
  529. WA4DRU,  WT8N,  W0CG, and WD8LLD will be active in the CQWW CW
  530. Contest  as a Multi/Multi entry signing VP5VW.  The group will
  531. be operating from the QTH of Jody,  VP5JM.  The operation is a
  532. tribute  to longtime friend Hal Brooks,  W9VW who passed  away
  533. two years ago.  WT8N,  WD8LLD,  W9VNE, and K8MFO wil share the
  534. low band duties while W6RGG,  WD8AUB,  WA4DRU,  and W0CG  will
  535. tackle the high bands. Outside the contest, each operator will
  536. be signing VP5/(his homecall). QSL cards for VP5VW go to W8TPS
  537. and QSLs for the individual contacts outside the contest go to
  538. the operator's home call.
  539.  
  540. VR2/VS6,  HONG KONG.  Dave, WX3N, will be returning to VS6WO's
  541. QTH  for two weeks (between November 22nd and December 3).  He
  542. plans to operate 80/160 meters each day starting at 1030z  and
  543. continue  through  the Hong Kong night.  On 80 he will  choose
  544. from one of three frequencies to transmit on: 3.501, 3.507, or
  545. 3.513.  David  states  that  past experience  shows  that  the
  546. eastern  NA  stations will have from 10 to 30 minutes  to  get
  547. through  at  sunrise.  Additionally,  he  will  simultaneously
  548. operate on 160 on 1824 or 1833 kHz.  Look for VR2/WX3N outside
  549. CQWW  CW  Contest (he will be listening up 1 to  2  KHz  above
  550. transmit  frequency).  For  CQWW CW Contest,  he will  operate
  551. VS6WO Single/Op.
  552.  
  553. ZB2,  GIBRALTER. Jorma/OH2KI and Peter/K8UNP will be active in
  554. the CQWW CW Contest.  Jorma will operate Single Band 80  Meter
  555. CW  in the contest using the call ZB2X.  QSL to  OH2KI.  Peter
  556. will  be operating as ZB2/K8UNP or K8UNP/ZB2 (depending on how
  557. they assign the call).  Peter will be single op on 10,  15, or
  558. 20  meters (depending on the band conditions and when  he  can
  559. operate when Jorma is off the air). QSL to K8UNP.

  561. DXAC/DXCC  ACTIVITIES.  DXAC members have recently received  a
  562. petition  for  separate  country  status for  the  Kingdom  of
  563. Mustang.  The  Kingdom is a small area bordered by  Tibet  and
  564. Nepal  (coordinates are 29.10 N and 83.55 E).
  565.  
  566. The Kingdom of Mustang was once a part of Tibet, but was ceded
  567. to Nepal from China.  It has retained its Tibetan culture  and
  568. is OFF LIMITS to foreigners (EXPLORER CD). The petition states
  569. the  Kingdom  of  Mustang has  autonomy,  has  an  independent
  570. political organization and its borders are recognized by other
  571. countries. The petition was filed by WA2FIJ and N0AFW.

  573.   The  DXAC will be voting on three issues later in the month:
  574. 1)  The DXCC country status of Austral Islands  and  Marquesas
  575. Islands,  2) The DXCC country status of Ballent Islands and 3)
  576. The establishment of a DXCC Award for Mobile Operation.
