A.N.A.R.T.S. News Bulletin 835 13th November 1994
AMTOR BBS updates
-----------------
VK2AGE, Gordon, should be back on air with his BBS on 16th
November on his return from his holiday in Europe. Whilst over
there, Gordon visited John G0SPO (erstwhile VK2CFJ). John
moved to England to be near his family, and you may remember
him as one of the ANARTS team of relay officers. John had to
change residence in England as he ran foul of a council that
would not let him put up a HF antenna of his choice, but is
now in an area without that problem.
VK6TN, the W.A. AMTOR BBS, will be off air 28th november to
3rd December while the operator has a rest period.

Presence of VKs in RTTY contests
--------------------------------
It is pleasing to see results of VK activity in RTTY contest
reported in Amateur Radio magazine, although the reports are
from last year's contests. In this stage of the solar cycle,
scores are not likely to be all that high, but at least the
VKs are being represented.
How about it? Make a New Year's resolution to take part in at
least one contest a year -- just to keep the VK flag flying
and keep those far distant stations looking for us.
Support RTTY and the later digital modes -- it's all good fun
and there are lots of friends to be made out there.
