  10. To print the manual type PRINTDOC and press the enter key.

  12. For those of you who never read the manual:  COPY the file 4CAT.EXE to
  13. a subdirectory on your disk that is always included in your PATH command.
  14. A UTL, UTIL, or UTILITY directory will be fine if you use one of those.
  15.  
  16. Insert a disk to be cataloged into drive A: and run 4CAT.  The database
  17. file will be created and the files on the disk added to the database.

  19. If you are using version 1.30 or 1.31 you can convert your old database
  20. file to the new format.  Please see Page 2 of the manual.

  22. If you are using version 1.20 or older you must convert to the version
  23. 1.30 format prior to converting to version 1.40.  Please see Page 2 of
  24. the manual.

  26. If you use 4DOS version 5.5+ be sure your DescriptionMax directive in the
  27. 4DOS.INI file is set to 512 so that 4DOS will recognize the 512 character
  28. descriptions.
