  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. About Screen Blanker ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  3.  
  4. Screen Blanker is an easy to use utility to save your screen from damage. 
  5. Screen Blanker monitors your mouse and keyboard and if you do not make any 
  6. inputs for a certain time (blank time) the screen is blanked. You can change 
  7. the blank time and select blanking actions in the Settings dialog. When the 
  8. screen is blanked Screen Blanker chooses one of the selected blanking actions. 
  9. If no blanking action is selected the screen will be just blanked. If you start 
  10. Screen Blanker with the parameter '-' (minus sign) the Screen Blanker window is 
  11. automatically hidden. It is a good idea to start Screen Blanker automatically 
  12. when booting your system (e.g. from the Startup folder). If you want to blank 
  13. your Screen immediately move the mouse pointer to the blank corner of your 
  14. screen. Screen Blanker does not become active in full screen DOS and Windows 
  15. sessions.

  17. Screen Blanker also supports external screen saver modules. You can use Deskpic 
  18. modules (.DSS) and Screen Blanker modules (.BSS). Screen Blanker has a built-in 
  19. watchdog funtion to detect errors in external screen saver modules. If the 
  20. desktop freezes just wait 5 seconds while Screen Blanker tries to terminates 
  21. the faulty module.

  23. Screen Blanker also provides an easy screen capture utility. Screen Blanker 
  24. copies the corresponding part of the screen or the entire screen to the 
  25. clipboard and optionally saves it to a file. 
  26.  
  27. To change the color or the font of the Screen Blanker window or the Information 
  28. window drag the desired color or font from the color palette or from the font 
  29. palette to the corresponding window. Double-clicking in the information window 
  30. toggles the title bar display.

  509. Choose Window that receives focus to copy the window to the clipboard (bitmap 
  510. format) that receives the input focus. If you click on a dialog box the control 
  511. that receives the input focus will be copied to the clipboard. After you have 
  512. chosen Window that receives focus, click anywhere outside the Screen Blanker 
  513. application window to copy that window to the clipboard. It is not possible to 
  514. copy the Screen Blanker window to the clipboard.

  519. Select Delayed capture if you want to delay the capture of the screen or a 
  520. window. This is important if you want to capture an application window with its 
  521. menus open. To do this you have to select Capture delay. Then you choose the 
  522. Window command from the Caputre menu, click on the application window you want 
  523. to capture and then you have some time (the capture delay) to open the 
  524. corresponding menu. If you want to capture the entire screen with a capture 
  525. delay, click on the Desktop first.
