Fact Sheet
The new WindowsÖÖ 95 logo was developed to help users easily

Windows 95. Users can mix and match hardware and software
products designated with the Windows 95 logo and be assured that
the products are fully compatible with the Microsoftr's Windows
95 operating system.
ManyOver XX (NEED NUMBER HERE) hardware and software vendors are
currently developing products for Windows 95. Products will
bearwith the "Designed for Microsoft Windows 95" logo asis a
signal to their customers that the product is not only compatible
with, but specifically designed to exploit the technology built
into Windows 95. The Windows 95 logoLogo makes it easy for
customers to choose products that were designed to deliver the
benefits and functionality of Windows 95. choosing products of
this new generation of technololgy easy. Customers no longer
have to don't have to figure out whichwhat technical details make
a particular new product more compelling than an other or worry
about compatibilitylder one. They justonly need to look for the
Windows 95 logoLogo, and they can be assured of choosing a
product built to work synergistically with Windows 95, to make
computing easier and more powerful.. [This needs polishing for
better flow, but you get the idea _ trying to tie it more

but do not meet the new requirements for the Windows 95 logo may
continue to use phrases such as "for Windows" or "Windows
Compatible" to identify that the product runs on the Windows
platform.
WWhy the Windows Logo Program Iis Changing
Currently, the Windows logoLogo exists in several variations: For
example, vendors can licenselicense various versions of the Windows
logos to indicate the Windows Compatible logoLogo, the Windows
Ready-to-Run logoLogo, or the Windows Compatible 32-bit Application
logoLogoproducts, Windows ready-to-run PC systems, windows
compatible 32-bit applications, Windows NT Compatible products and
Windows NT Ready-to-Run systems. Because Microsoft market research
indicated that customers were confused bydid not easily distinguish
among these different logo versions, Microsoft designed the new,
single logo to replace these various logos.
The new logo will apply to third-party software products and
hardware systems that are designed to take advantage of the
advanced features in Windows 95 and Windows NT. Users will only
need to look for products that carry the new Windows logo to find
products that offer these new technologies.
