From: Jack Dracula <vampire@wam.umd.edu>
Subject: The REAL Jack The Ripper, Gaulie...
Well, kids, while I try to shy away from most of these historical discussions,
I thought I would just, for your approval, submit my concept of crazy Jack.
I based mine on my own research, and I decided to ignore all the conspiracy
theories and suspects (and I *really* doubt the Masonic one, too) and
instead used the info on London from WoD. Herein:

Jack Corinth had struggled through his vampiric life in the early 1800's.
His work for Scotland Yard's Investigations Group made him the target of an
especially cruel Caitiff, who Embraced him and left him. Not finding much solace
among the welcoming arms of London's Kindred, he remained pretty much anonymous
for his first few decades.
In September, 1888, however, everything changed. He was killing a prostitute in
a dark alley in Whitechapel, when he was spotted by some other hapless ladies
of the night. Frightened of the wrath of the Camarilla for breaking the
Masquerade, he began to hunt down the other three women. In the meanwhile,
however, his crimes earned a nefarious reputation. Jack was contacted first
by some old friends in the department (who thought he just retired, due to a
nasty bout with syphillis) to see if he could give them some help in solving
it. A few weeks later, one of the Ventrue investigators asked him to report
any discoveries he made to them first, so that they could bring justice to
the perpetrator first. So what we had was Jack the Ripper investigating his
crimes for both the Kindred and Kine, and of course he could not capture
himself, so the crimes remain a mystery to this day, with the Ventrue blaming
the Tremere, everyone else suspecting a Malkavian, and so on.
In recent years, Jack has gotten tired of moving from city to city. He is lookin
g for a place to retire in. He has also garnered something of a reputation
(as much as a Caitiff can) for being able to solve the trickiest of crimes
among the Kindred.
