  3. Just a few "Things":
  4.  
  5. SETUP:
  6.  
  7. Required:  Visual Basic 3.0, VBRUN300.DLL and CMDIALOG.VBX
  8.  
  9. You set up the ToolThings Test Drive just like you would
  10. with any other good Windows software.
  11.  
  12. You must be running MS Windows 3.1, and have Visual Basic 3.0
  13. on your system, as the demo will not work without VB.  Close
  14. all programs in Windows, other than the Program Manager.  This 
  15. insures that any supporting files that ToolThings Test Drive
  16. needs will be properly copied over to your machine.
  17.  
  18. Make sure all files contained in the archive file are 
  19. contained in the same directory on your hard disk drive BEFORE
  20. starting the setup procedure. From the Program Manager choose 
  21. the "Run" menu option from the PM's File Menu, and in the 
  22. "Command Line:" box, type: 
  23.  
  24.                      <Drive:\PATH>\setup.exe
  25.  
  26. and choose "OK."  ToolThings' Test Drive setup will commence.
  27. You may also run the setup.exe file from the File Manager.
  28.  
  29. Follow the instructions in the setup, and the demo will be
  30. installed where directed on your hard disk drive.

  32. RUNNING THE TEST DRIVE:

  34. PLEASE NOTE THAT VB CANNOT BE LOADED WHEN YOU START THE DEMO.

  37. When you run the ttdemo app, VB will automatically be loaded.
  38. You can use the Nudge Thing, your exciting control alignment 
  39. tool.  None of the capabilities of Nudge Thing have been 
  40. crippled for the demo.  It is a fully functioning application.

  42. HOWEVER, there are restrictions!  Although you can use all of 
  43. Nudge Thing's features, you CANNOT save or print any of the 
  44. forms you create during the demo.  You cannot edit any item
  45. in the property window either.
  46.  
  47. Each button in Nudge Thing has a tool tip, and tips can be
  48. toggled on or off.  Try all of the features.  We're sure you'll
  49. agree that Nudge Thing is the most comprehensive alignment
  50. tool available for VB, and it's only one tenth of this great
  51. VB tool set!

  55. the Test Drive's "Action" menu.

  69. DISTRIBUTING THE TTDEMO.ZIP FILE:
  70.  
  71. The file is a pkzipped archive which contains all of the 
  72. files necessary to run the demo, except for cmdialog.vbx and 
  73. vbrun300.dll, which the VB user will already have on their
  74. system.  The file also contains a similar readme.txt file, but
  75. one specifically written for the distributable demo file.

  77. Although the file contains all the necessary description files,
  78. you may have to create a description of the file when you 
  79. upload it.  Please use the following description, or something
  80. VERY similar.  Feel free to embellish, though!

  83. ToolThings Test Drive is a working demo 
  84. of Pinnacle's new productivity tool set
  85. for Visual Basic 3.0.  Contains a full 
  86. working version of Nudge Thing, one of
  87. the ten tools in the tool set. The Test
  88. Drive requires both Visual Basic 3.0 & 
  89. Windows 3.1, and two files included w/ 
  90. VB, CMDIALOG.VBX & VBRUN300.DLL.  All 
  91. other files are included!
