Installing or upgrading "The Retail Solution".
Place disk 1 in drive "A" or "B". If using
drive "A" type "A:INSTALL" and press ENTER.
If using drive "B" type "B:INSTALL" and press
ENTER. If installing from a sub-directory,
type "INSTALL" and press ENTER.
A:INSTALL or B:INSTALL
The first question refers to the type of
monitor you are using. If using a color
monitor, enter Y for yes.
The next question asks where "The Retail
Solution" will be located. In simple terms,
think of your computer's hard drive as a big
house with a lot of different rooms. The
installation program needs to know what room
to place "The Retail Solution". If you are
unsure, just press ENTER.
Place each disk in the drive as asked.
You will be asked to print the Self Demo
Documentation. If you have a printer, do it!
NOTE: Because "The Retail Solution" has
network support, the MS-DOS SHARE command
must be loaded in memory. See your MS-DOS
manual for more information.
Copying "The Retail Solution" onto 720K disks.
Copy files README.DOC, INSTALL.EXE, DESC.SDI,
FILE_ID.DIZ, DISK1.EXE, DISK2A.EXE and DISK2B.EXE
onto disk 1. Copy file DISK3.EXE onto disk 2.
Copying "The Retail Solution" onto 360K disks.
Copy files README.DOC, INSTALL.EXE, DESC.SDI,
FILE_ID.DIZ and DISK1.EXE onto disk 1. Copy file
DISK2A.EXE and DISK2B.EXE onto disk 2. Copy file
DISK3.EXE onto disk 3.
Copying "The Retail Solution" onto high density disk.
All files may placed on the same disk.
Manually installing "The Retail Solution".
Make a sub-directory for "The Retail
Solution". For example: "C:\TRS". Copy all
files into the sub-directory. Type DISK1
and press ENTER. Type DISK2A and press ENTER.
Type DISK2B and press ENTER. Type DISK3 and press
ENTER. Print out the Self Demo Documentation.
Type "TYPE SELFDEMO.DOC > LPT1:" and press ENTER.
