  10. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT
  11.  
  12.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  13.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  14.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  15.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  16.  
  17.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  18.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  19.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  20.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  21.   Many, like ARK ANGLES and TOPline Software, also give added benefits to
  22.   users who register.

  25. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  27.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  28.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  29.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  30.   or cease to use it.

  32.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  33.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  34.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  37. WHY REGISTER?

  39.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  40.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  41.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  42.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  44.    o  the latest version of the program with no registration reminders, plus
  45.    o  one free upgrade to the next version when available, plus
  46.    o  the facility to run other programs at scheduled times, plus
  47.    o  a printed manual detailing all the features of the program, plus
  48.    o  12 months support, plus
  49.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  50.    o  a bonus program, plus
  51.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  56.   Australian registration is A$25 shipped anywhere in the country.
  57.   International registration is A$29, US$22, £15, Dm40, ¥2400 shipped
  58.   anywhere in the world.  Wholesale and quantity discounts are available.

  60.   Registration gives a license for use of the program by one user or on
  61.   one machine, and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special
  62.   licensing arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere
  63.   there are multiple machines or users at the one site.

  65.   Updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the latest
  66.   version are available from TOPline Software or ARK ANGLES for just a
  67.   shipping charge of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  72. HOW TO REGISTER
  73.  
  74.   Nothing is simpler.  Check the list of International Distributors below
  75.   for one in your country, or ask your local shareware vendor if they handle
  76.   registrations for ARK ANGLES.  Otherwise you can order direct from us.

  78.   We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for them to clear if they
  79.   are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or Mastercard only), bank
  80.   drafts or postal/money orders.
  81.   
  82.   Credit cards will always be billed in Australian dollars (A$) so you get
  83.   the latest and best exchange rate.  Cash, cheques, drafts etc can be in
  84.   Australian dollars or your local currency.  Calculate local currency prices
  85.   from any of the published International prices at the current exchange rate.

  87.   There are four easy ways to register:

  89.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  90.      listed in the ORDER.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  91.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for International customers, and leave
  92.      your ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  94.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  95.      ORDER.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  96.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there, then
  97.      fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638 for
  98.      Internaitonal customers.

  100.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  If its a credit card order,
  101.      or the order includes more than one product, post to ARK ANGLES at
  102.      24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.  Otherise include a
  103.      cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot direct to TOPline Software
  104.      at P O Box 66, Rundle Mall SA 5000, Australia.

  107.      card information, and send it to 100237.141@compuserve.com on Internet

  160.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  161.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  163.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  164.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  165.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  166.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  168.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or TOPline Software is
  169.   restricted to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of
  170.   the physical disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade
