<NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE><NOTICE>
IF YOU ARE RUNING SF-Quick/BW 1.00i Beta or earlier ===========================>
Don't run FIXUSERS.EXE with SF-Quick/BW 1.00h or SF-Quick/BW 1.00z
You MUST run FIXUSERS.EXE from your SF-Quick/BW directory, else, you MUST
delete the file "SFPUSERS.DAT".
Documentation and Why is this still a beta ===================================>
The doc's are not finished. Reason: I'm not done adding things yet. This is
still considered a beta until after I have added support for Blue Wave "Filters"
and "KEYWORDS". Along with this support will come the ability to use these
settings for the QWK message scans. Another thing that will be added for the
1.01 release will be the ability to scan for personal messages only...
RUNTIME ERROR 100 or 101 =====================================================>
If you receive an "Runtime Error 100" when SF-Quick/BW 1.00h Beta starts, see
"IF YOU ARE RUNNING Sf-Quick/BW 1.00g Beta".
SF-Quick/BW is for Spitfire 3.5 only, running it with an earlier version will
cause a "Runtime Error 100".
"LOCAL" file requests for Blue Wave readers are now supported ================>
Fixed a problem with Blue Wave readers that use pre version 2 formats. =======>
MULTI-NODE WITH A NETWORK ====================================================>
Major changes in handling Networks, from the 'g' Beta. Please test to the
fullest. The record locking rutines have changed. This one should work.
For networks, line 21 of the config.* will allow you to put sfquick's work
directory on the drive of your choice. The first char MUST be a valid drive.
DISPLAY SCREENS ==============================================================>
The display screens must be set to clear the screen before display. They also
must not have a line length in excess of 255 charaters.
QWKNAMES.DAT =================================================================>
If your are having problems with the conference names in QWK packets,
"QWKNAMES.DAT" is for you. It allows you to define the name a conference
will have within QWK mail packets. Each conference gets one (1) line in this
file. The lines must be formated like this:
1 ,Confernece1
6 ,Conference6
8 ,Conference8
31,Conference31
2 ,Conference2
As you can see the conferences can be in any order. A conference that does
not have an entry in this file. If a conference is not entered in this file, it
will use the name in the "Net Id Field". YOU MUST NOT duplicate conference
names, or conference numbers in this file.
If the file "QWKNAMES.DAT" does not exist, SF-Quick/BW will use the "Net Id
Field" for the QWK conference name. If there is already a like QWK conference
name SF-Quick will revert to the real conference name.
COLORED CONFERENCE NAMES ======================================================>
Conferences with SYSOP security or higer are colored red in the conference
Queue & Last Read message lists.
TAGGING CONFERENCES ===========================================================>
You may now tag multiple conferences within the Conference Queue & the Last
Read Message pointers menu's. The conference numbers must be deliminated by
a comma, space, or ';'.
NUMBERED QWK PACKETS ==========================================================>
You or your users may now choose to have QWK packets numbered. This looks
like this, QW1 thru QW9 and QW0 after 9 packets have been downloaded. This
option is <N> in the "Packet Configuraton" menu.
BLUE WAVE .PDQ FILES ==========================================================>
Hopefully, Blue Wave offline configuration works now. <G>
Offline File Requests thru the Blue Wave reader are not supported at this
time.
Blue Wave "Filters" & "Keywords" are not supported at this time.
SF-Quick/BW OPENING SCREEN ====================================================>
Registered users may now choose to not to display the opening screen. It's
the last line in the node configuration file, "CONFIG.*". FALSE and SF-Quick
will not display the opening "advertisement".
Thnks,
Bill Crowder
