PULL-DOWN MENU INTERFACE ------------------------------------------------ 7
PROFILE employs a quick and seamless Pull-Down Menu System.
■ Navigating the Pull-Down Menu System ■
∙ Use the cursor right and left keys to select different menus.
∙ Use the cursor up and down keys to select an option within a menu.
∙ Use ENTER or the highlighted character within the option to execute.
■ Conventions ■
∙ An ellipses (...) after an option means the option requires additional
input after selection. For example:
Selecting "Execute" from the "Profile" pull-down menu will require you
to input a filename and/or additional parameters.
∙ To the right of each option is the Expert Action method for envoking
the option. For example:
Pressing "Ctrl+Alt" is equal to selecting "About Profile" from the
"Profile" Pull-Down menu.
∙ Option availability is based on current context. For example:
You cannot select most file actions while in the Tree Window and you
cannot select most directory or disk actions while in one of the File
Windows. Unavailable options are not highlighted or selectable in the
Pull-down menu system.
■ Menus and Functions ■
PROFILE uses eight pull-down menus:
∙ Profile - System actions - About PROFILE, save and exit, etc.
∙ File - Single file actions - Copy, Move, Edit, Print, etc.
∙ Tagged - Multi-file actions - Copy, Move, Delete, Encrypt, etc.
∙ Directory - Directory actions - Graft, Prune, Autoview, etc.
