The basic Hands On Remote Access package is setup so it can be
installed from three 360K disks or one 1.44M floppy disk, a hard drive,
or indirectly from a BBS/internet. The normal form is a series of .ZIP
files, the installation files and FILE_ID.DIZ. Normally just run the
INSTALL.EXE program. The BBS version includes the installation
files in the last .ZIP file as shown below:
------------------------------------------------------------
HO51.ZIP portions of the product, including the manuals,
VENDOR.DOC, FILE_ID.DIZ, and the like. (disk 1)
------------------------------------------------------------
HO52.ZIP portions of the product (disk 2)
------------------------------------------------------------
HO53.ZIP portions of the product (disk 3)
------------------------------------------------------------
For a BBS installation unzip HO54.zip with an unzipper
and then please run INSTALL.
------------------------------------------------------------
HO54.ZIP: (BBS form only and containing the files below)
INSTALL.EXE the installer. Use it for the actual installation.
install.dbf the installer's instructions and help
install.dbt you can use it to install other products, and thus
include installation/remote access/support in other products.
UNZIPI.EXE to unzip the .zip files with the installer.
FILE_ID.DIZ (again) describes the product. (all on disk 1)
------------------------------------------------------------
UNINSTALL: You should find a file called RMTREE.EXE that can be used to
remove the whole \HO directory and contents with "RMTREE HO". Of course
we can't imagine any good reason to do such a thing <grin>.
Just to confirm: 360K diskettes are setup with the installation files
and HO51.ZIP on disk 1, HO52.ZIP on disk 2, and HO53.ZIP on disk 3.
HO54.ZIP contains the installation files for BBS distribution.
