14 ! For as long as you can remember you have been getting yourself into some
14 ! kind of trouble. You think it all started sometime around the age of three.
14 ! Apparently you rolled the family cat down the hall stairs and got a big
14 ! kick out of it. Your parents were not, to say the least, quite so amused.
14 ! From there you went on to a brilliant career of basic jeuvinille delinquincy.
14 ! From stink bombs to cherry bombs, you've done it all. Now you find yourself
14 ! at the ripe old age of 12 years old, and your parents have finally given up.
14 ! Convinced that they can no longer deal with you, they have sentenced you to
14 ! the Russ Kimbull School for Punks. Apparently some fat slob who had
14 ! his own talk show thought the answer to punks, such as yourself, was to
14 ! seperate them from society and put them in a strict, academic environment.
14 ! Now you find yourself at his school. Some say that he didn't really believe
14 ! what he said... That he only said it to get the ratings. Well, it doesn't
14 ! really matter, after all, what he believed because someone practiced what he
14 ! preached.
14 !
14 ! You are not the type, however, to go quietly. You, along with a good
14 ! chunk of other students, have decided to give the staff at this school
14 ! something to keep them busy.... A FOOD FIGHT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! Although
14 ! the object of this game is relatively simple, the game itself could prove
14 ! quite challenging. Your mission is to turn the student body into walking
14 ! cafaterias! You can purchase food from several locations on campus. This
14 ! is your offense. Find targets and let loose. On occasion you will come
14 ! across other food fighters. Show no mercy. In the end, there can be only
14 ! one! In addition to the food war, you will find that there are a lot of
14 ! other things to find of interest on campus. Make sure you look around.
14 !
10 ! AREAS
15 ! -----
14 ! This game is divided into four areas. The capus map is basically a giant
14 ! square. The lower left corner is area one, the upper left is area two,
14 ! the upper right is area three, and the lower right is area four. This is
14 ! very important to keep in mind as the higher the area number, the harder
14 ! your opponents. As you start off it is recommended that you try to stay
14 ! in area one as much as possible.
14 !
10 ! CAMPUS MAP
15 ! ----------
14 ! Put your NUM LOCK key on then use your number pad to move around on the
14 ! campus map. You will see the map in the upper left portion of the screen.
14 ! This map shows the square you are in and it's surrounding squares. Here
14 ! is the key:
14 !
13 ! .. = Hallway gg = Grass
13 ! WW = Wall ff = Forest
13 ! FF = Fence ss = Stairs
13 ! pp = Parking Lot || = Road
13 ! -- = Pavement [] = Door
14 !
14 ! Walls and fences are, of course, impassable. When you see a door you can
14 ! go to that square and enter it. This will bring you inside the building.
14 !
10 ! COMMANDS
15 ! --------
14 ! Moving around the campus you have the following commands:
14 !
14 ! P = Character Profile. Shows you a detailed report of your character.
14 !
14 ! X = Equip Character. Since your character can carry more than one
14 ! offensive or defensive item at one time, you must choose which
14 ! ones you will be using during combat.
14 !
14 ! E = Enter Building. If you see a door and you want to go inside, use this
14 ! command and you will enter the building. This takes one turn.
14 !
14 ! U = Use Item. This is how you can use an item from your inventory. You
14 ! can also use it to eat food from your inventory in order to instantly
14 ! regain hitpoints.
14 !
14 ! R = Rest. If you do not have food (or don't want to waste what you have),
14 ! you can use the rest command to regenerate hitpoints. The catch,
14 ! however, is that resting takes up time. One turn per rest.
14 !
14 ! V = View Rankings. This will show you all the other players in the game,
14 ! as well as who is who amongst the food fighters.
14 !
14 ! ? = Help. This will show you a menu of available commands.
14 !
14 ! A = Attack Player. If you come across another food fighter, you can use
14 ! this command to attack him/her.
14 !
14 ! S = Suicide. If you have given up on your current character, then use
14 ! this command to commit suicide. You can then re-enter the game as a
14 ! new player.
14 !
10 ! TRASH
15 ! -----
14 ! You will find trashcans all over campus. These serve several purposes.
14 ! The primary, of course, is to throw something away. If you have an item
14 ! taking up inventory that you no longer want, just drop it in the trash.
14 ! The other purpose is to find what others didn't want! If you are out of
14 ! cash and out of food, you can scrounge in the trash cans (at the cost of
14 ! your dignity) for food or other unwanted items.
14 !
10 ! TIME
15 ! ----
14 ! There are clocks all over campus. You can check the time whenever you
14 ! like. First, you will discover that classes are IN session only at
14 ! certain times in the day. Classes are never in session at night. When
14 ! you get used to the schedule you will find the clock usefull. Also, if
14 ! you enter a class that is IN session then try to leave before that class
14 ! is over, you might regret it!
14 !
10 ! BUYING FOOD
15 ! -----------
14 ! Food is sold at three different places on campus. Each place sells
14 ! different types of food, and each type of food has different offensive
14 ! capabilities. (For instance a hamburger is more damaging than a cookie).
14 ! Some types of food, such as tomatos, can be bought in multiples.
14 !
10 ! BUYING DEFENSE
15 ! --------------
14 ! Your clothes are your defense. There is only one place on campus to buy
14 ! better "armor". The locker room sells several different types of clothing.
14 !
10 ! LOCKERS
15 ! -------
14 ! The locker room has another purpose. When you enter the locker room for
14 ! the first time you will be assigned a locker number and combination. Make
14 ! sure you write these down. If you lose them you will not be able to get
14 ! into your locker again. You will also never get another locker. Once you
14 ! have your locker assigned you can store money and up to twelve items in
14 ! it. You are more than welcome to attempt to break into another player's
14 ! locker if you like.. but keep in mind others can also try to break into
14 ! yours.

10 ! MS. TODD

14 ! If you have any questions you want answered go see the band teacher. They
14 ! say she is very wise.
14 !
10 ! CLASSROOMS
15 ! ----------
14 ! As mentioned earlier, classes are only in session at certain times of the
14 ! day. When a class is in session it will last thirty minutes. There are
14 ! different options in the classrooms depending on the IN SESSION status of
14 ! the class. We will leave this up to you to explore.
14 !
10 ! MAIL
15 ! ----
14 ! The mail room is found in the office. This is the place to write those
14 ! messages to other players in the game. If you have personal mail, you
14 ! will be informed of it when you log into the game.
14 !
10 ! PRINCIPAL GATES
15 ! ---------------
14 ! Principal Gates is about the biggest nerd you'll ever see. Pocket
14 ! protector, thick glasses, and all. When you accumulate enough experience
14 ! to raise a level you must go see Principal Gates. He will award you your
14 ! honor star and you will raise to the next level. Why would the principal
14 ! reward a food fighter? Ahhh, the irony. The best food fighters not only
14 ! don't get caught, but their clothes show no sign of food fighting. The
14 ! top ten food fighters make the principal's honor roll!
14 !
10 ! COMBAT
15 ! ------
14 ! When you are in combat pay close attention! Some types of food can only
14 ! be thrown once. When your primary weapon runs out you will have to equip
14 ! a new weapon. If things look hairy you can try to make a break for it.
14 ! Your dexterity is a key factor in how sucessful you will be if you run.
14 ! Here is what your attributes will do for you:
14 !
9 ! STRENGTH : Affects how much damage you can do.
9 ! DEXTERITY : Affects ability to dodge and run.
9 ! AGILITY : Affects ability to hit what you are aiming at.
14 !
14 ! In addition, your level will also affect your sucess in combat. There
14 ! are many factors to account for. Your weapon and armor also will affect
14 ! your sucess.
14 !
10 ! COMBAT MODES
15 ! ------------
14 ! While engaged in combat you can select C for combat mode. This will let
14 ! you pick between mode 1 and mode 2. Mode 1 is a straight text description
14 ! display of the combat events. If you select mode 2 you'll get a little
14 ! moving display to watch. Mode 2 is more interesting, however it does slow
14 ! the action down a bit, especially on players with slow modems.
14 !
10 ! MISC NOTES

14 ! I have purposefully left out a good deal about the game. The reason
14 ! being, of course, that it is for you to find. If you see something in
14 ! the game that isn't described here, that means you'll have to figure it
14 ! out. Remember, if you have questions you can always ask Ms. Todd in the
14 ! band hall. As this is my first game I am very hopefull that everyone will
14 ! enjoy it. I have full intentions to continue to improve this game. There
14 ! are no plans, however, to add multi-line operations in the near future.
14 ! If the game generates any kind of interest I will start immediately on
14 ! a better version. In the future I hope to add tree forts that players
14 ! can build for their protection. Any comments, questions, and/or suggestions
