  1. The Ruins of Raistlin's Keep
  2.  
  3.     From somewhere deep within the ruins you hear a great rumbling.
  4. The sounds seems to be moving toward you and they become more distinct
  5. as they get nearer.  You can now hear snarling and the heavy footfall
  6. of some huge beast.  It must be the great red dragon Baldar.
  7.  
  8.     You offer fervent prayers to the Gods and prepare to meet Baldar
  9. in battle.  You hope that The Dragon's Claw will give you even the
  10. slightest chance to defeat this horrific beast.
  11.  
  12.     As Baldar comes into sight, you nearly lose your nerve.  You have 
  13. never encountered, or even imagined such a terrifying creature.  Before
  14. you stands an enormous red dragon.  His body is scarred from many savage
  15. battles.  In his eyes you can see a frighteningly evil awareness and
  16. intelligence.  You begin to doubt that you can possibly defeat such a
  17. beast.
  18.  
  19.     You nearly soil yourself when Baldar addresses you in a loud
  20. grumbling voice.  "Welcome to my home young warrior.  I see that you
  21. have found The Dragon's Claw.  Do you actually hope to defeat me using
  22. that puny weapon?  I have destroyed many warriors wielding better
  23. weapons than that.  Perhaps I could loan you one so the fight will at
  24. least be interesting."
  25.     You manage to gather your courage and reply to Baldar.  "Thank you
  26. for your generous offer, but I'll keep the weapon that I have."
  27.     "Ahhh, a brave young warrior.  Well then, shall we begin?" he
  28. grumbles.  Before you can answer, Baldar bellows a fierce battle cry
  29. and attacks.
